Kenya would be perfect for cruise ships to dock. I’ve just been watching a documentary on how cruise ships operate. The amount of food required to run a cruise ship and opportunities for local suppliers would be great for Kenya’s economy. On top of that boost tourism for shore tours etc. I really enjoy cruises.

Cruise ships are bad for the enviroment. The amount of heavy diesel required to run such a ship is enormous.
Nayway, Kenya is strategically at the wrong place. The cruise ships from South Africa pass by Mauritius or Seychelles on the way to Asia. Mombasa would be a detour. Also fear of Somali pirats off the Kenyan coast is too high.

Several cruise lines dock in MSA but usually not as a first or final destination.
