Title: The occult, ISIS and all that
Post by: GeeMail on December 22, 2014, 12:21:50 PM
Increasingly, Islam pops up in the news and commentaries. In many ways "the religion of peace" is also mentioned in discussions on the mark of the beast. The mark of the beast is a debate on its own. For now let's focus on the Islamic connection. The video speaks for itself.

Newsweek highlights one of the matters mentioned in the video.

I am unable to access the video for now, but I know that Islam isn’t the only religion that has been mentioned in connection with the underworld. Many so called religions that purport to preach Christianity are in the same boat, for example that leader who burned his whole flock including women and children in Waco Texas, or the other one who gave his flock of more than 700 people poison and they all died with him. People just need to be vigilant of such people who claim to be the chosen one.......Christianity is as old as the earth, and nothing much has changed about its teachings since time immemorial.

fyi, do you remember when Daniel talked about the prince of Persia, and then the King of Persia in the same instance...... when I look at most world leaders today, I wonder if the same applies, and is that why some countries are soo messed up with no sign of change in sight.

Mya88,

Yes, many religions are mentioned in connection with the underworld.

I'd just like to clarify something you mentioned. Those who only look at Christianity past Anno Domini may not understand your statement. Historically, Christianity is "as old as the earth" although the name "Christian" only came up after Christ walked the paths of Palestine. However, God's eternal pre-existence and creatorship makes His people like Adam, Enoch, Job, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob to be Christian even though they did not meet the incarnate Christ. The Bible suggests that it was Christ who interacted with these pioneers (met Abraham by the trees of Mamre, met Moses in the burning bush, was with the three Hebrew boys in the fiery furnace etc).

Daniel 3
24 Then Nebuchadnezzar the king was astonished, and rose up in haste, and spake, and said unto his counsellors, Did not we cast three men bound into the midst of the fire? They answered and said unto the king, True, O king.
25 He answered and said, Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God.

John 1
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2 The same was in the beginning with God.
3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men.

"Two of the heavenly messengers departed, leaving Abraham alone with Him whom he now knew to be the Son of God. And the man of faith pleaded for the inhabitants of Sodom. Once he had saved them by his sword, now he endeavored to save them by prayer. Lot and his household were still dwellers there; and the unselfish love that prompted Abraham to their rescue from the Elamites, now sought to save them, if it were God’s will, from the storm of divine judgment."

I'm not sure why you can't access the video. I'll place the link afresh.

@DB
I concur with what you state below. That is lost to many and may explain Windy's dilemma.

You however avoided the Prince/King of Persia piece...not sure if it was intentional or you just don’t know. Its fine either way.

Thanks Mya88. I did not want to comment on the prince of Persia bit because I didn't really understand its context. Could you elaborate?
