Kingi had sign bla de bla KPA management. I wonder if they will complain.
-
They will not, as long Kingi is Senate speaker, Aisha Jumwa , Hassan Sarai etc . Coast has never had such representation in Government for the last 20 years, last time was during Moi era.
Now again they are fully represented in Ruto.Gov.ke
-
Yeah - they never delivered their bargain. So hawana leverage. Na mzee ya kitendawili hana lake. They will stick around

He deserves it , one of the few Kales who ventured in Mombasa back then. The rest were either police or in the army .

most kales are in rural areas for Ruto to benefit them he has to revive and promote rural economy period, otherwise appointing kales to senor position is like counting sand granules in the beach, don't expect kales to change even after 10 years, they will be new wealthy kales like during baba Mois time but only that. who will whittle away after Rutos presidency
kalenjin must learn to work hard/ no government handouts can save them look at pokot marakwet elgeyo today nothing will change in 10years etc
-
Very true.
Farming must work.
Kalenjin need BIG FARMING LOANS plus cheap fertilizers.
KFA must be nationalized.
Then made to work.
Hustler Fund is good start - but they should have loan limit of even 5000...that can buy fertilizer and maize.
Then watu warudi wapande
Maize, Tea, name it. Make it work.

Sometimes an Achilles heels , good in some way bad in another. Azimio will use this to claim Nepotism forgetting Brian Ndeggo was a product of Raila duting cooperation with Nyayo.

ANother Kalenjin? what is going on? this is becoming blatant? They are clearly getting ready to steal.
-
We still have KRA Commissioner, Safaricom, Central Bank governor and KDF. Those are the remaining critical positions. Then gov will have been deemed to be completely form. Ambassadors, CAS and SOES - bado for political rewards.
Anyway seem Kosgey or gov printer has decided no list will go in without one or two kalenjin name.
Uhuru-Kibaki had replaced Moi tribalism - ni kama new gov inaendelea na Kazi.

Why are they doing this? very disappointing
-
Yeah - Ruto need to be careful - it easy to dismiss all his effort - if people see this gov for one or two communities.

I never understand Kenyans fascination with who and what tribe is being appointed to what positions, I guess the government being the biggest business in the country, these people have the power to bring all their unqualified villagers on board. The question is, should we all be cheering for this kind of mediocrity? I think it’s a very dumb strategy, Moi did it and all his failures were blamed on Kalenjins, there are many Kenyans who up to this day associate Kalenjins with incompetence and buffoonery. If I were Ruto, I would mix up things a little bit, if he fails with an all Kalenjin government, Kalenjins again will become a hard sell to Kenyans.

You're wrong. Public service the qualification and tribe matters. In fact it up there in constitution. In private sector go for most qualified. This guy is qualified - well regarded in KPA - but Murkomen is appointing authority. For most people they will see his surname.
So gov has to consider both qualification and the tribe - sometimes they can compromise on qualification to balance tribes.
Constitution demand civil or public service MUST have kenya face. Kalenjin and Kikuyus are already over-represented in gov - and it appears the trend will continue. Instead of correcting it - it getting compounded.
Ruto should hire himself an ethnic advisor - who will go through all his appointments and minister appointments - monitoring compliance way before gazettement. That way mistakes dont happen - and ministers dont start appointing their friends, tribesmen and etc.

One thing is clear, at this rate Ruto will not gain even one more vote in many areas in Kenya. Those Luo MPs who matched to State House will all loose their seats in next election. In Western, Mudavadi will be vanquished since he has nothing to show his people apart from the office for his wife. Ukambani is being treated as if it is part of Tz.
Ruto better get the economy runnig, otherwise Raila will have a field day.

Kwani Kalonzo is expected to support Raila till when :)

Appointing the Cherserems of this world is great.
Going the Ghana way of appointing inept tribal men/women is destructive.
