Prime Cabinet secretary Musalia Mudavadi has rubbished claims by Azimio that President William Ruto is going after those who opposed his presidency
Mudavadi said the president is a mature leader who will not pursue revenge against his political tormentors.
Mudavadi said the President is determined to implement his bottom up economic agenda that was the key campaign promise to Kenyans.
"The President did not win by selling revenge. He sold an agenda to transform this country," Mudavadi said when the President led Kenya Kwanza troops for a thanksgiving service in Nakuru.
"The evil things that were visited on Ruto do not define his agenda. He has gone above that and he is now focused on growing this country."
The opposition coalition led by Raila Odinga has been crying foul that President Ruto has launched ruthless crackdown on those who opposed his presidency.
The PCS asked all Kenya Kwanza leaders to always remember that the president will not revenge against anyone who wronged him.
"In the Kenya Kwanza agenda, revenge does not exist. We want to unite the country under the leadership of William Ruto. We want to be a law abiding nation under William Samoei Ruto and we want to have a nation of fairness and justice," he said.
A number of Kenya Kwanza leaders have urged the President to decisively deal with those who persecuted him politically when he served as Deputy President.
However, Mudavadi on Sunday said the President has no business to go after his political detractors, urging leaders to be cognisant of that.
"Those of us who are his lieutenants, I would like to urge that let us work together with the president to bring everybody together," he said.
During the service former Nairobi governor Mike Sonko asked the President not to have mercy on leaders who tortured him.

While I agree with you, kindly add his deputy during his reign to that list. Uhuru did not loot the country alone.

Don't believe. Revenge started on day one with companies! Uhuru is currently 200 million less richer than 4 months ago!
-
But uhuru just got a 674 million shilling retirement package in a country where people are starving. The perks for retired presidents are ridiculous

Hiyo ni kidogo sana in kenyatta empire..lazima afinywe vizuri

Of course the retirement packages are ridiculous. Let as have parliament reduce them and not only for Uhuru, but others that will follow him too.
Remember the house built for Kibaki for 0.5Bn Ksh in Nyeri? He never even spent one night there. All illegal including the petrol stattion he received from tax payers money.

EXACTLY. The political class is freezing Kenya. reduce pay or increase tax on all mpigs, presidents, and any leader earning over 500k/month. They do nothing for that kind of pay.
