Title: Hk and others ..what wrong with equity security
Post by: KenyanPlato on January 19, 2023, 07:06:20 PM
it seems equity has very poor systems that allow employees and scammers to collude and steal from customers. every so often I see customers crying about their accounts being wiped clean. equity then stalls and blames safaricon..safaricon blames equity and the customer loses ..I remember when equity started my dad told me he would never put a coin in their bank. he had 35 years of banking experience. he told me they lacked the internal infrastructure to operate securely. I doubted him but it seems people are going back to old established banks for fear of losing their money. kcb has been able to win most of these customers back

They should scrap that Slim/thin SIM thing and whole Equitel. The Mulot boys has made it a joke.

The technology was not safe but Equity use their political connection to force it.

Safaricom told them it's not safe - they didnt listen.

The plan by Equity Bank to introduce the Thin SIM technology is a trending topic that is shrouded with controversy. Equity Bank is optimistic and describes the Thin SIM technology as an excellent opportunity for Kenya to ‘expand the offering of mobile banking services, and providing such services to a wider population in Kenya.’

Safaricom, the antagonist, paints the Thin SIM technology as an evil project that compromises the security of mobile money transactions and will be a gross violation of the privacy of its subscribers. It is, therefore, almost impossible to separate facts from fiction."
