Only thing we need to fix is 2/3 gender rule. I believe judges can be convinced to delay it further. CDF and ward fund would be nice if they made it constitution. Those are two more levels of devolution that will entrench participatory leadership and democracy.
Anyway Ruto should have avoid this memo - and leave it to come from parliament - banana peel.
For now - Ruto should end this debate - and leave it to parliament - to decide - it's politically risky to push it.
CDF can limp on as NG CDF and besides MPs dont need any motivation to entrech it together with 2/3 gender rule.
Position of opposition leader should be through act of parliament as we are not sure how this will work.
Look likely to pass - Ruto has held these positions for quite some time

Then courts will strike it out. This one will be a tricky one . He wants to use parliament Raila wants referendumn. Referendumn will come with alot of amendments . That one will require a lot of calculation to hack it. Uhuru and Raila couldnt . Another risk is it might create a third force. Constituencies and one shilling one vote calls might reappear .
It took kibaki a civil war to have a new constitution passed and with the referendum Ruto stamped his authority as RV king pin. This one will be tricky.
Ruto and Judiciary said Uhuru couldn't amend the constitution,Any attempt by Ruto to try and amend the constitution will be a declaration of war, secession and disintegration of Kenya as a republic.
Katiba ikae Vivo hivyo ilivyo.
The constitution says that political parties must be allocated I think 0.3% annually of national revenue...Azimio will receive more than 500MN each financial year in the next 5 years...that is like 50MN annually, enough to finance the office of the parties in opposition, pay research teams, media and logistics.Apart from that,Raila and Kalonxo receive millions of shillings from their over 20 Governors on a monthly basis. There is enough funding for opposition not counting even membership fees.
Any political thruggery by Ruto/gachagua ought to be vehemently opposed.

Bozo, it is called "mutilation". The constitution is not a writing on a piece of paper you buy an eraser and rub and edit without an overriding reason. The constitutions of USA of 1776 has only been amended 27 times. Same applies for UK. We expect any changes to the 2010 katiba to go through a Referendum.Ruto and Judiciary said Uhuru couldn't amend the constitution,Any attempt by Ruto to try and amend the constitution will be a declaration of war, secession and disintegration of Kenya as a republic.

Whats wrong with making it formal?
The founders also specified a process by which the Constitution may be amended, and since its ratification, the Constitution has been amended 27 times. In order to prevent arbitrary changes, the process for making amendments is quite onerous. In the era when Kenya was a de jure one-party state, Moi when asked why he suppressed agitation for multi-party his answer would be that the agitators were committing acts that "were not lawful". When Moi left in 2002, the Katiba written at the Lancaster House conference was hardly recognizable!

The RuBBIsh verdicts offer clear pathways to constitutional amendments and running of constitutional bodies.
Hasla's principal legal advisor, Dr. Korir Sing'oei was a central player in the cases so he must know what will cut and what won't.
Dont make us laugh . Rutos proxies are the ones who won the case. Reason he rewarded the judges first things first. The RuBBIsh verdicts offer clear pathways to constitutional amendments and running of constitutional bodies.
