You don't shut business that don't pay taxes...you're making situation worse.You charge them in court and get orders to allow you to monitor closely and recover old debt of taxes.

exactly kariobangi is worse - there is no kra there. That is where gov should concentrate on formalizing them; but someone doing genuine business with kra officers - even if pipes are wired how - is better.

There is a wines and spirits shop everywhere in Mt Kenya.Most of the liquor sold in those shops is distributed at night by these so called manufactures...Have you heard of brands like people?chaser?walker?can I buy them and send them to your address to get to know what am talking about?

These liquors cost 100 Bob,Two kikuyus go fetch water for hotels or mookoteni squad or some menial jobs and they go drink the liquor..in one or two years they are dead.

Thats why Uhuru banned them.

I have no issue with anyone who manufactures brew,but SPIRITS IS A NO.check even mortuary and hospital records.

AVOID TALKING OF THINGS YOU DONT KNOW OTHERWISE TO ME YOU ARE A EQUIVALENT TO A FOOL.If you are anywhere near me at night,you'd know am a licensed gun holder.

So the death stopped when uhuru blocked humprey and 20 alcohol manufacturers. Alcohol as long as their is demand for it - will always be produced.

Manufactures should be encouraged and supported to become legal.

Not driven to the backdoors of kariobangi. You can bet the 20 uhuru closed - simply took their machines and knowledge to kariobangi - and produced the alcohol inside slums - where kra and police dont bother

Legal ones can at least try to do basic food safety.

We should encourage business to come out - even the so called anti-counterfeight/substandard DCI was wrong - China refused to crackdown on chinese counterfeights - and allowed their business to build own brands slowly.

Keep stupid DCI from any business...let them concentrate on real crimes.

Overtaxation and regulations of alcohol industry is what's destroying the industry and society. Prohibition of alcohol in america exacerbated the problem until it was repealed. Alcohol isn't a problem in uganda or TZ , its high time we allowed traditional alcohol without the crazy regulations and taxations.

Agreed. Just too many taxes driving people to take cheap dangerous stuff. Uganda and TZ are worth copying. Gov under Uhuru crackdown of so called substandard or counterfeit - criminalize business. We are not at that stage.

To the owner of this vehicle and the counterfeit liqour products (Best drink) , I have news for you. You will not destroy the lives of the young people in my county, it is you, the KRA & Police officers you have compromised that will instead be destroyed.

Kalenjin leaders don't want cheap brew in the villages but greedy Kikuyu leaders are allowing it.

I spoke to one of my workers yesterday during lunch time after being unable to eat.He told me he drank KEG previous night and was unable to eat.The mjamaa told me even the liquor being sold in central Kenya be it KEG or spirit is counterfeit.

There are no young men left in central Kenya,No wonder even waititu was fighting alcohol in kiambu.Let Rigathi Ruto and their Humphrey kariuki and other cheap brewers continue this anarchy.Why did they allow these cheap brew?
