As they work on how to triple public primary schools in Nairobi. 200 schools serving 1.5 million households!

Now this make sense
Greenpark terminus was completed eons ago. Several dry runs have been attempted but none delivered the desired results. Now after giving mudamba an office there you want to make his work environment noisy. Have some respect for the 3rd highest office in the land even if it is non-existent in the Katiba 8)

Police already designated that area a hotspot.

That is the work of Government. To provide services. Govt is not a business concern out to make profits.

Leadership is not magic. Sakaja cannot create magic. Sakaja is doing common sense stuff. Listen to operators and come up solution. NMS spend 250M on this - then two trial later - it became a mess - because he never consulted anyone. The upcountry cars are not as intense traffic wise as nairobi cars...so this will work

What Sakaja has been doing is listen to people - hawkers - etc - people have solutions to their problems. There is no magic in leadership. NMS failed because they assume to know what people want.

Being an investor, it will be interesting to see how the silencing of bars in 'residential areas' goes.

Thirty years of ghetolization and cowboy slumdogs  means no designated shopping centres like in planned estates or villages. Every place is 'residential area' in most urban slums and apartments.

Most clubs will have to go back to town center.
The rest maybe in malls.
I think if they keep the noise low; the estate pubs will be okay;
It just one or two that end up messing up;

On this issue I would credit Robert Alai. Sakaja is just a follower. No leadership. Governor  wannabe.

Isnt there a liquor licensing board??
I sure remember alcohol premises were highly regulated.
I dont think residential areas should have any bars, except a commercial area within resident.

Yes for most traders they come to buy stuff and put them on matatus; so this middle class obsession of a clean city; the reality is mkokoteni will be needed. Maybe eventually it will just become parking bay

that is the point
 last time this was tried cbd businesses suffered. as a parking lot it makes sense but not actively board cargo and passengers unless they want to clog that part of the city
