That is not EJK. Killing thugs who resist arrest or armed is not. Release them then taking them to forest or rivers is EJK. If the thugs must be killed; let them be killed on the scene like during MOi time.
Kibaki introduced EJK with Mungiki and has become official policy - where someone is taken from home - and next is found in a river.
Thugs should be shot and killed preferably on action - so police have to build up their quick response system

As long as they target the criminal element am OK. Am sick on violence from govt and criminals. At the same time police have to be held to a higher standard.

Police have to dial back to days when flying squad was flying squad because they would respond to crime scene and kill the thugs.
This idea where police know a crime has happen - then zero in on the suspect a week or a month later - takes them to a forest - torture them - and then disappear them in rivers and or feed their bodies to hyena MUST stop.
Police should build 911 and trust for people to call them whenever a crime happen.
Quick response team armed with super bikes and fast cars should respond immediately - and finish the thugs - in public. Their bodies taken to morgue. Their relatives informed.
Nobody should be waylaid in middle of nowhere, tortured in a container, killed and dumped in some river.
Case of missing persons should cease...kill if you must...and do it publicly.
