Jury is still out. But given the nature of this enterprise, Musk might just sink it by force of his polarizing personality. Social media is different from SpaceX, Tesla ... brick and mortar kind of business. You can partake of your own drug in the latter 2 and actually benefit the product. Social media has less tolerance for a domineering owner.

Nothing screamed censorship than that. Nothing screamed betrayal than that.
Musk has thick skin...and if he frees twitter...for everyone to come and ventilate...in world...twitter will become the social media for many.

Trump was polarizing and extreme. They banned him, after the January 6th insurrection - on his way out - after resisting a lot of pressure from users. If he frees it up for Trump and his minions, I fear it will go the way of Truth Social, gab, etc. It will have die-hards who won't leave it, but the rest will.
Right now, at least in the US stream, it's already starting to seem like "Elon" is trending every other minute for saying this or that.
