Even during our times in 1990s - engineering was dead end
Smart ones switched to IT & Telcom.
Electrical was worse - took the brightest - frustrated them - no job.
I feel for this man - the country has failed him

My own nephews with computer science degrees have been jobless since graduation 8yrs ago.
The system is not working for many young people.
Peoper policies need be in place to address long tem issues.

First thing he has to do is get a passport and try to get to Dubai or some other part of the UAE (get out of kenya)

While in college - kids should start with online gigs - that is what he did way back in 2002 - and I gained lots of experience. That also help build your CV. Unfortunately most university kids dont get proffesional skills. Computer science or Engineering wont cut in kenya without skills...you may need to do internship, do online gigs, personal projects, build your cv.

This should fall back on colleges to establish career centre staffed with professional to provide guidance to young people. Help them build CV, source for internships, guide them to new job markets and trends. Etc etc. Attending silly Manyora lectures will not cut it.
