Title: Kenya's Avocado's rejected abroad due to excess levels of pesticides

Our avocados are being rejected abroad because of excess levels of pesticides and we think we have systems to regulate GMOs? We’re about to be dumping sites for other countries. We need food security but we need to be well-prepared.

I've said before that corruption isn't just about state capture. It's about everything.  You don't know what's in your medications. What's in your water. What's in your food.  The same thing will happen with GMO's. Africa is not ready for GMO's. Ndii mentioned one time that no one has any idea where 70% of Nairobi's waste goes to.

Norway flagged them. In 2019 China tightened its regulations on food imports and avo exports to China dropped by 10%, who do you think is currently consuming that 10%? Us, locally. We are not ready.

Australia raised a red flag on our flowers, it was full of ban substances like round-up use. GMO was a wrong idea.

What am seeing here is a mixup.  Between GMO and pesticides.  Neither has anything to do with the other, even though they are both concerned with agricultural produce.

The way I understand it(and am shallow on the subject), is that GMO are genetically modified produce.  And you don’t use pesticides to that end.

If my understanding is correct, then GMO technology could even potentially reduce reliance on pesticides.

Agreed. GMOs are drought resistant and customized for any locale. And yes, FDA and Subject matter experts there are gurus on food/crops because of earth-shuttering research that backs the decisions and declarations. Besides politics and risks associated with GMOs, a country like Kenya, with 4-5 million starving people any year, needs GMOs like yesterday. The health risk of GMO foods is not greater than millions of hungry people. Malnutrition, stunted growth, and other issues emanating from hunger are more of a danger. I seriously think GMOs will address starvation in Kenya. 80% of US foods are GMO, yet folks live way longer than in Kenya.

Farmers can use less spray pesticides when they plant GMO crops. This saves farmers money and reduces the amount of pesticides that end up on crops.

When farmers use herbicide-tolerant crops, they reduce the need to till the soil to control weeds. No-till planting helps to improve soil health, reduce soil erosion, lower fuel and labor use, and reduce the amount of carbon dioxide released into the atmosphere.

Growing virus-resistant crops can also help farmers produce a sustainable, safe food supply while increasing the stability of their livelihoods.

GMO should have never been allowed.

Ouru started Kenyatta  state capture,

Ruto is starting globalist capture of kenya resources

RV grain farmers will be the most affected by GMO...

GMO is done deal.Ruto has PhD in plants. If we get problems we find solutions. If pesticide usage is high use GMO. Good thing we have now president who understands cross cutting issues and is not afraid to take hard decision

Kenya is the only country I know where Lightning is allowed to strike the same spot twice! Murphy's law: If something can go wrong, it will go wrong. This was 2011. 10 Years later see for yourself - the cancer society they created and keep creating.
Pay close attention to 0:55 - KEPHIS deals with plants not inspection of food. Understanding Plants viz-a-viz human food miles apart. What cows can eat safely is not necessarily applicable to humans. So that PhD if it is worth the paper it is written on, is just as relevant to his understanding about food as if he had sought one in Theology.
RIP Kioko Mang'eli.

Raila fired Kioko when he stopped Raila caricogenic maize from South Africa. The maize had been contaminated on board a ship. Caricogenic maize dont come from GMO - it come from fungis - that you see a lot in Ukambani and places that dont dry maize.

It helps Ruto understand science and has therefore allowed GMO.

Unless some court order stop it - it will go on and on

You don't have to watch the whole video, just enough to understand GMOs and you will be afraid, very afraid of not only GMO food but also GMO seeds. An organic corn crop sitting next to a GMO crop, will be contaminated by gmo grain in a downwind.

Monsanto approach has taken agriculture and built an industrial model which does not fit nature. If you are going to change, change Agriculture model to accommodate what is natural. Monsanto are in business for their investor and leaving it to someone else to worry about the health consequences, probably the consumer...
