50% Ruto still wins. Dont underrate intelligence of people. They tried those tactics in Kiambaa and it failed - despite Kiamba being original home of those people. People know Ruto would be an idiot to threaten kikuyus. So they know that it's Uhuru and Raila doing their scare-mongering - and they will vote even more for Ruto.

That is the nature of big brother when praise/worship songs and prayers start rolling. He has been like that since the reign of pastor Musonye and the Likuyani Kesha days in the late 80s. He can't believe he is still standing 4 days away from the election after tolerating 4 years of DCI, NIS, KRA, government, and opposition machinery, all contracts he had on his businesses canceled, restricting his money flows, changing 1000 shilling note to hurt him, BBI, humiliations from junior government officials, punishing those associated with him, and much much more that will be revealed down the road. Even on the last trip to the US, the government on the eleventh hour withdrew the 100 million fund that was supposed to fund his trip!

Ignore the lies, Ruto NEVER went against Uhuru; it is Uhuru that went against DP. Ruto cannot go broke easily. He has about 300 homes in the US and 947 rental units in Nairobi. He is broke proof!

As president, he needs to not cry in public because they'll be many times when he'll become the face of the nation -- e.g. when facing crisis and you have to be stoic.

If you have never been in the US you wouldn't know this but finding out the ownership of any properties is freely available online. If one wants to buy a used car, all its details are in a blue book, including if it has been in any accidents etc. Freedom of information, something Kenya has anchored in it's Katiba but has failed to implement.

Deputy President William Ruto was on Tuesday overcome by emotions, shedding tears during a church service held at his official residence in Karen, Nairobi.
In the video capturing the moment, Ruto is seen trying to hold back tears during the praise and worship session led by Bishop Mark Kariuki to pray for peaceful elections as Kenyans head to the ballot next week.
The video elicited mixed reactions with a majority online users who responded to the clip, mocking the deputy president.
"Hata alie damu, he will not win on August 9," Salim Aduol tweeted.
"Anajua in the next few days anatoka hapo, that is why he is too emotional," Sewe450 added.
"There will be no sympathy votes this time, we are used to his theatrical campaign stunts," Ben Opondo added.
“The pain of losing an election even after campaigning for 4 straight years,too painful,” said Vic Munyithya.
Twitter user Leakye Lekishon remarked: “Too early to cry!”

The prater session was also attended by the DP’s wife Rachel Ruto,a host of leaders allied to the Kenya Kwanza Alliance and members of public.
After the church service Ruto embarked on campaign rally in Nyeri County to drum up support for his presidential bid six days to the General Election.
This is not the first time DP Ruto is shedding tears in public. In March 13, Ruto broke into tears during a church after a presidential election victory when they vied for the presidency with President Uhuru Kenyatta.
According to a new poll by Ipsos, DP Ruto, is the second most preferred presidential candidate with a popularity score of 41 percent, 6 points less than his perceived main rival Azimio la Umoja One Kenya presidential candidate Raila Odinga.
Roots Party candidate Prof. George Wajackoyah came in third with 2.9 percent while Agano Party’s David Mwaure scored 0.2 percent. Another 8.8 percent of respondents said they were undecided on their preferred candidate although they were sure they would vote.

Being emotional is okay, especially to many devout Christians when praise and worship songs start getting into gear. We have been used to it since his childhood at Christian camps, rallies, or Kesha. Atheists' cannot relate or understand, so it is hard to describe those tears of joy, especially if one has overcome many obstacles, like DP the last four years. He is likely delighted to be on the ballot after many said he wouldn't make it to the ballot! After the BBI fiasco, 1000 shillings note fiasco, and Financial sabotage, his friends were hounded and tormented by the state. He must be grateful that the era is ending and much more.
On the other matter, DP has friends, companies, and family members outside Kenya that do business for him and with him.
