I keep hearing that Kenya has 42 Tribes, I can only count to sixteen. Who can name all the forty two tribes here?

I just saw the census and there are 24 in there. It's not exhaustive. They leave out quite a few.

I'm pretty sure the lonley planet book said more than 80.. maybe it was dialects.. yup, I think it was languages.

Languages for sure. As an example, Kalenjins and Luhyas speak several closely related languages. So you are going to have more languages than tribes. Still, one should be able to come up with the 42 from your list.
