It started in September 2018, and by Jan 2019, DP was 85% funding everything for himself. The whole of 2020 and 2021, and now in 2022, DP is still funding his constitutional office. He gets his salary, yes, but he donates to children's homes in Nairobi 100%. Thanks to Ndindi for letting the truth out for the first time. DP did not want Kenyans to know that he is fully funding himself; I guess his inner circle has had enough, and that is why they are letting out the truth 90 days to the election. Even cutting grass service and keeping his official residence lawn stopped working in 2020. Even the tea service was purged by the office of the presidency! If DP was a poor person like Jaramogi back in the day, he would have resigned. It is good to have businesses that generate a lot of cash daily. Money pays the cost for one to remain the boss, even in the darkest of times. Money is just that powerful! Uhuru has deployed everything to fight the DP (almost 100B); according to DP), it seems he is not making progress. BBI, changing 1000 notes, complete purge of the budget, endorsing senile ODM leader, etc. The man is still standing!

This MAGA type politics is very nauseating, the way you guys suck Mwizi’s dick is ridiculous. I want Raila to win, which he will but I am not going to elevate him to a deity, he is human with all our flaws, he is not a cult leader. If Raila makes mistakes, I will point them out, I did after Obama became president and squandered the biggest political capital ever handed to a USA President because alikuwa mwoga sana. Ruto will win or lose and we shall continue living, there is no need to glorify here everyday, only insecure idiots like Moi or Trump crave this kind of adoration.

There are people who changes the destiny of their countries.
By their sheer abilities, charisma, intelligence, committment and hardwork.
Kagame is doing it in Rwanda.
Museveni did it in Uganda.
Meles Zenawi did it Ethiopia.
Ruto for those of us who have come to know him - shows the signs and the promises.
And that makes me personally particularly very very excited about Kenya and it's prospect under Ruto.
For once we would have settled the political questions - because he will be shoulder and head above ANYBODY - more intelligent than anybody - with more oratory power than anyone - more hardworking than anyone - more effective than anyone else.
In short - he would be the most complete politician to ever grace the seat.
So forgive our excitement and wait. Ruto is not run of mill politician - that is why he has been bought by your mother in Limuru - and there is nothing you can do about it.
Kibaki was great but he was a poor politician - and he couldnt settle the Raila odinga political questions - and he remained a weakling.

No one that I know of in my family is voting for Ruto. We are a little more sophisticated than your typical boda boda rider. It’s my mother who asked why Ruto has not distinguish himself in development matters, Ruto is Kalonzo but a better politician, 30yrs in the government but nothing distinguishable. People remember politicians like Michuki cause of their transformative leadership. Michuki, given some power did more in months that Kalonzo and Ruto did in 30yrs. You guys are telling us to expect things from Ruto that up to this point, there is no evidence that he is capable. In Raila, I expect institutional strengthening because he has fought for these freedoms all his adult life. If you strengthen institutions, development comes very quickly not the other way round. If you stop corruption completely in Kenya, the country will be a whole different place within a year.

Where did you come from? Ruto has a 10 million chicken farm, hotels, concrete company, quarries, 945 housing units in Nairobi, shares, and stock in major companies. Besides, he is one of the most prominent farmers in Kenya, especially in UG, Narok, and Taita Taveta. He gets nothing from the government except his 1.4 million monthly salaries, which he donates most of it!

No one that I know of in my family is voting for Ruto. We are a little more sophisticated than your typical boda boda rider. It’s my mother who asked why Ruto has not distinguish himself in development matters, Ruto is Kalonzo but a better politician, 30yrs in the government but nothing distinguishable. PhD is not hard stuff, it is hard work. You need time and concentration to make such an achievement. You cannot be huslting, making billion Ksh looting schemes, running nusu govt, chasing anything in a skirt, be at church harambees every Sunday and expect to have time for a doctorate. Those are stories to tell to the vilagers.

Fact is Ruto got 1st class in Bsc (Botany) - then was awarded Msc scholarship at UON - which he nearly completed (finished course work) - in 1992 - he started insurance company as student and dabbled in politics. Then became so successfully he forget about studying for 20yrs. Then when he got fired due to ICC - in 2010 he decided to go back and complete - I believe what was pending was project - so he took a year and he was done- having completed MSC course work in 1990s. Then again with ICC and all - he went and did Phd - and graduated by 2013.
Ruto remember doesnt drink - is very hardworking - would typically been in the office by 6am or even 5 am.
This is why I warned Uhuru and company not go to war with Ruto unless they are planning to stop drinking. Ruto works from 5 am till very late - never drinks - only break is when Farouk has a girl :) upstairs - otherwise he is a workaholic.

Anyone can do a Ph.D. in Kenya because there are no significant classes to take and endless zoom meetings with your dissertation chair and the group. Just research from beginning because of no PhD courses to begin with coupled with no effective accountability measures to catch plagiarism and more. Ph.D. typically takes 4-8 years to finish. I'm in year 4 of my IT-Cybersecurity Ph.D. program and hopefully will finish by year 5. Still, with it, it is never over until you defend it and the people on the other side unanimously say yes. Usually, when you start, you stay pumped on years one and two, but after year two, the rubber starts meeting the road; by year 4, you are so stressed, and you just want to graduate or go abd (All but Dissertation). The problem is, by then, all the people know you are pursuing a Ph.D., and you can't just stop. So you end up going under or putting all the energy and finish. ABD means you have taken all the Ph.D. classes in the US, usually about 60 credits or 20 courses, depending on the school but you have not successfully finished the dissertation part. After those hard-hitting courses, you have to have good standing in GPA (typically 3.0 GPA and UP) before you embark on the final years of the dissertation. Ph.D. is hard but doable with time, good spine for sitting long hours for years, and support system.

Their stolen cash has been re-invested into brookside, banks, real estate, etc but please spare us and not refer to these kleptocrats as entrepreneurs :D :D
The only question I have is whether this kleptocrat will be able to economically transform his poverty stricken country. The other kleptocrats have been unable to do it anywhere in AFrica.
