He has an excellent chance of winning it.
Ruto will not only need to maintain the 90 per cent plus turn-out in these 10 Mt Kenya counties, but also ensure he gets not less than 90 per cent of all votes cast to be able to pose a significant threat to Raila’s chances.
This will be a tall order, if not an impossible task.
The reality of not having one of their own in the Presidential ballot for the first time will cause unprecedented voter apathy in these counties.
Mt Kenya counties may be as low as 50 per cent to 60 per cent. That will be devastating, if not fatal, to Ruto’s quest.

Arcardian, didn't Jubilee not promise Laptops, free education, stadiums etc? Did non-deliverance of all the promises prevent them running this shithole for not 5 but 10 years? Answer is No! Look in Zamunda, Campaign promises are just that ...... empty promises ... whose sole aim is to achieve votes (or illusion of votes in the case of Jubilee) but nothing else. The winning party is never held to account by the electorate - especially those who cast a tribal vote in favor of the "winner". Tafakari.

Arcardian, didn't Jubilee not promise Laptops, free education, stadiums etc? Did non-deliverance of all the promises prevent them running this shithole for not 5 but 10 years? Answer is No! I think deep state is aware that Ruto is unbeatable; I dont see how Uhuru can survive until march without making a deal with Ruto.

I do not understand why you are wasting your time advising RAO. He has a plan that he has been executing since 2017 post elections. The plan has worked beyond his wildest dreams. Ruto has had plots and designs to to succeed Ouru since 2013. You have to be blind to think Ruto's plans are working. At this rate RAO may lock-in the presidency very early next year. In fact some political commentators think RAO has it all wrapped up by now. They may be right but, I will call it a wrap when Ruto reads the writting on the wall and quits to avoid the embarrassment at the polls.

There is a reason why Uhuru with his entire half gov, Moi, Raila, MaDVD, Kalonzo, Weta, name them, including their billionaires are merging to try to block Ruto.
Ruto is so far ahead...and as political pundit of my reputation - I can tell you Ruto has Raila where he wants him - In Mt kenya :) - we just need him to declare and get IEBC nod to run. It's important he run - and go hard on Mt kenya.

Ouru does not have to explain anything to the kikuyu hoi poloi. He has done his explanation behind closed doors to those who matter. The Kikuyu Hoi Poloi, as we speak are being rallied by big bucks and propaganda on steroid. Ruto had a very early start with big expenditures and thats why it had to require a lot of political firepower with to overcome his early start. The momentum is picking and RAO's support in Central is growing exponentially everyday. Ruto is in big trouble. He cannot sustain an opposition against the government as RAO used to do. Dont believe your propaganda. Raila is not climbing any mountain :). Unless there is a secret card - Uhuru has just intimidated two governors and two mps to take Raila around. It's DOA.

He needs amnesty because Ruto is already the 5th; Otherwise Ruto has already taken over Mt kenya without his permission. In fact only thing Uhuru still has is state machinery. His influence in Mt kenya is such that he has lost two by elections in Kiambu including near Gatundu. UDA is now the party of choice for Mt kenya.
Ouru is not going to talk to Ruto. Talk about what? Very soon Ruto will be looking for RAO to talk to.

Raila is the next president in Kenya. I am not even a big fan but Kenya cannot miss this opportunity.
