n a brief response through State House Spokesperson Kanze Dena on Monday, Uhuru said reports such as that by the International Consortium of Investigative Journalism "will go a long way in enhancing financial transparency".
The consortium had said Uhuru did not respond to enquiries about whether his family wealth was declared to relevant authorities in Kenya.
While saying he would respond comprehensively to the Pandora Papers, upon his return from a State Visit to the Americas, Uhuru said, "These reports will go a long way in enhancing the financial transparency and openness that we require in Kenya and around the globe."
"The movement of illicit funds, proceeds of crime, and corruption thrive in an environment of secrecy and darkness.”
Uhuru also said the Pandora Papers and subsequent follow-up audits will lift the veil of secrecy and darkness for those who can not explain their assets or wealth.

Ati 3.3B ksh in offshore account! That is change for these fellows. If a small Ministry of Roads manager can accumulate 1B Ksh in a scope of 7 years, what amount will a family like Kenyatta accumulate in a scope of 60 years with them being at the helm of the country for 25 years?

Correction....there are total of 11 accounts, 3 billion is in one account. Do the math....most likely there is more than 5 trillion.

I had understood that point from the beginning as this is the account held under Muhoho's name.
Btw, these are just offshore accounts held mainly in the Western heimosphere. Many Kenyans now invest heavily in UAE in cities like Dubai. It is said the real estate market there does not ask many questions on the origin of the money.
It is said our second Eurobond money landed there. That is the reason why Quatar National Bank was involved in the transactions.

Dubai growth fuelled by corruption money. Heaven for the least sophisticated money launders..believe me before uhuru money get to Dubai will make several stop in offshore accounts to erase the trail...
