Now In Railas calculation he hoped like 2005 elections upon convpusion òf referendumn he would walk away with half of GEMA translating with 20% of national vote and incase Uhuru beterayed hom would do LDP kind of thing just like he did Moi and Kibaki and in this case walk away with a big junk of Jubilee , Ruto was to walk away with him and maybe indeed even tosha Ruto. The plan failed miserably. No referendum , No walking away .
Uhuru managed to rule and loot in peace .He also managed to keep Presidency the way it is and was even ready to make it more powerful which is Anti Raila Bomas Thesis. He kept Raila is his court and had all answera for Railas trickery. It was very evident he went from opposing a referendumn from the begining to championing it after sneaking in amendments which were not popular or advocated by Raila and his team. When BBI failed Raila constituion advisors were the happiest but had to play to the gallery.
Ruto by Uhurus help managed Mt Kenya to realise its not always about tribal politics even someone from a different tribe can become a better leader than yours own. Very tellimg when yoi can see Raila supporters changing music tune from Mt Kenya will vote from their own to Raila will be supported by My Kenya.
Secondly people didnt know what economics was apart from GDP and GDP%. Now they are debating between Trickle down economics Vs Bottom up economics thanks to Ruto.
Now who is playing who. Uhuru played both Raila and Ruto. Differemce ia Ruto had a plan from the begining if this happened Raila didnt hence the catchup.
Raila has demonized Mt Kenyans since 2013 thats slightly lesser than 20 years to comw and think the same people will vote for you borders yo insanity.

If the Supreme Court is wise this casw whould go on past Aug 2022.
Any decision they make being the last court of resort will be binding. And having being turned into a political matter they need to be extra careful.
What St Mary boys are doing is to know how they will play with this vital matter once out of power , secondly the court is being put in a precarious situation if they rule negatively before Presidential elections Railas team will use it as reason not to go to appeal Election results once the lose and try to a 2007 unleash violence on this pretex .How Raila operates is any thing is on the table for him feom a Nusu Mkate Government to Co-operation to Handshake to revolution.

You still have 9 months to cash on handshake - insist on getting something - for your boys and girls - and for your region - during this 9 months.

The fact that they have taken all this time to file the appeal - means it not urgent. I dont think supreme court will need to certify this as urgent. And the ground of appeal are going to be academic.
So yes for supreme court - their biggest assignment now is to deal with election related cases. BBI can be heard and determined later...unless they still think IEBC can hold the referendum with elections.
