This will be great. JFK is a mess
Maybe delta can bring people from Midwest for a direct flight.

It definitely opens up possibilities since Kenyans are scattered all over the U.S. I wonder what the market will determine as the airports to be included.

Wacheni mchezo, KQ is struggling to fill the current 787 from JFK and have reduced the frequency to 2 flight per week.
To break even with 787 due to range issues from NBO to U.S is very hard .
For each flight to US they need  a two set of crew and 2 Aircrafts . They only have 8 787 . 2 for London route , 2 for Amsterdam, 2 for CDG, 2 for Bankon Guangou Route and 2 for JFK.
The 3 777-300 are still with Tutkish Airlines .

Can they schedule once a month flights for airports that don't have much traffic?

It will not make any business sense. In aviation also what matters is a landing  take off slot.   Paid for  on a daily basis.

The whole airline industry has struggles since corona. Two flights are good especially for cargo exporters
US govt paid airlines to keep flying so as to maintain cargo exports
