Wanjigi might catch momentum soon all he needs is a catalyst. Fuel price might just give him that.

If Raila or Ruto mentions his name . Its on........

Yeah is the most exciting wild card because people use to see him around Raila but did not know he had a voice and ideas.
ODM are biting his bait - I am not sure if it's intentional - but seem Jakom is very worried about a messy divorce with Wanjigi if he is serious about his run - but Ruto will not bite his bait.

Pundit you have missed the biggest story about Jimi. Can a non-Kale campaign in Eldoret to contest for UDA presidential primaries?
-
Why..apart from small stint when Moi enacted dictatorship..Kalenjin historically is a very democratic society. Right now there are parties of many shapes and forms. Gideon is contesting in KANU, Buzeki leo has joined ODM, Uasin Gishu - almost all Mps except Sudi and Kositany, oppose Ruto.
Moi was an abberation otherwise democracy has always been our mode of electing leaders.
Luo Nyanza is in a very bad spell right now...they deserve democracy.

He has a good slogan of fagia wote, but he is not telling us what will happen after he has swept all with his big broom. If he is banking on getting popular on his SGR expose then he has a big mountain to climb, he has to remember if you point at someone the three lower fingers are pointing right back at you. Can Jimmy Wanjigi excite the majority of voters that come from poor back ground na mashinani? Only time will tell but I will not hold my breath for it coz I dont wonna die. He must be tired of financing candidates and coming out mkono tupu.

This is an important issue. I believe the way to deal with the SGR issue is to make the contracts public. We know uhuru wont do it, China won't let the next president do it. Therefore this where USA or any country insterested in curtailing china influence in kenya can do is find these contracts and leak them.
The kenya civil society was decimated by Jubilee 1st term. Most of them were demoralized or intimidated to silence. Kenya has actually lost bigtime with Jubilee there is no mechanism to hold the executive and rogue parliament in check
I believe if we can have a lid blown off this contracts and then this is taken to judiciary for possible abuse of office by Uhuru it can really keep Uhuru busy in courts for the next 10 years

In the latest twist of a legal battle begun in 2014, Kenya’s Court of Appeals has found that the $3.2bn contract for the country’s new standard gauge railway (SGR) between Mombasa and Nairobi was illegal.
It was awarded to the China Road and Bridge Corporation (CRBC) by Kenya Railways following the signing of a memorandum of understanding in 2011. In 2014, a case was brought by Kenyan activist Okiya Omtatah and the Law Society of Kenya in a bid to stop construction on the grounds that CRBC had won a public project without going through a public competition.
The case was dismissed by the High Court that same year, but earlier this month the appellate judges ruled that the SGR procurement process breached Article 227 of the Kenyan Constitution, as it was not open to a public tender, and so was not "fair, equitable, transparent, competitive and cost-effective".
The court also found that the contract contravened Kenya’s 2005 Public Procurement and Disposal, a law intended to guarantee open tendering by public-operated enterprises.
About 90% of the cost of the project was met by the Exim Bank of China, in the form of two $1.6bn loans.

According to Business Daily Africa, Exim made the loans conditional on the appointment of a Chinese contractor to build and operate the line, meaning it could not go to a public tender.
The first 485km long section of the SGR was opened to the public in 2017. A second phase is presently being built between Nairobi and Malaba on the Ugandan boarder. This is due to be completed in 2021.
The first part of the second phase, a 190km link between Nairobi to Naivasha, was finished in October 2019. The extension to Malaba will now take the form of an upgrading of an existing metre-gauge line. This will not be carried out by a Chinese contractor.
It is unclear how the ruling will affect the railway.
After the ruling, Nelson Havi, president of the Kenya Law Society, tweeted: "Something doesn’t add up in Court of Appeal’s decision declaring completed SGR project unconstitutional and unlawful. It may be a preparatory process for [the Government of Kenya] to plead illegality at an international arbitration should China Road and Bridge Corporation sue for breach of contract."

Its very disheartening to see a barely functioning govt. and people are angry. High unemployment, runaway inflation, etc. "FAGIA WOTE" will do for me. Tribal politics has to go. Same groups recycled over and over and over because of their money or connection.
-
If court orders are issued - next gov may be compelled to obey. It's really upto the court to get imaginative - and issue orders with sanctions. I believe for such 5B dollars - this issue wont go away. It so much money. Uhuru had better prepare for some answers. He thinks he has a clean heist and is prepping to go invest in Northland City

Kelele mingi ya bure.
Uhuru will get away with his theft just like his predecessors.
If Ruto takes over he will just be offered 10% of Uhuru's loot and the the man accept immediately. Ruto is just too hungry and needs lots of cash today better than tomorrow.
All other serious contenders will let Uhuru off the hook without even asking for a share.
