Title: Interesting Koome interview- but surely kenya why not just hire enough judges
Post by: RV Pundit on September 10, 2021, 08:27:58 PM
It doesnt make sense that Kenya cannot spend on judiciary.

This is like a low hanging fruit - hire as many judges as we can - they just need salaries. All 47 counties should have high court and even Court of Appeal. That is maybe maximum of 200 judges - if we have 3-4 high court judges in every county

Every constituncy should have a magistrate court - and adjacent prison. I am sure if CDF are asked - they can build such courts - very small buildings - and prisons for many of the small crimes  - adjacent to it.

Court cases should not go beyond 3 months - now CJ is dreaming of 3yrs.

Until then impunity of various form will continue because we do not have a judiciary - it will take 5yrs before any case is decided.

Yeah such cases would make many technocrats think twice in facilitating corruption for the untouchables. Even the links to the untouchables would be easy with breakthrough in such cases.

I wait for Murungaru to be dragged to court.

Quote
The Anti-corruption Court has put Transport chief administrative secretary (CAS) Chris Obure on defence over the Sh1.3 billion Anglo-Leasing graft scandal, which happened when he was Finance Minister in former President Daniel Moi’s government.

The court found that Mr Obure, together with Sammy Kyungu (former Ministry of Transport Permanent Secretary) and Samwel Chamobo Bundotich (former Finance Secretary Ministry of Finance), have a case to answer in relation to the alleged economic crimes.

Their co-accused Francis Mellops Chahonyo (former Postmaster General Postal Corporation of Kenya) died during pendency of the trial.

Next would be to see how to enable judicial investigation into cases deliberately bungled by prosecution, police and executive.

Nipate.net own Marie Antoinette.

Meanwhile Kenyans are literally starving to death in Kilifi now.

Kenya is seeking IMF aid to repay China loans.

Middle class is finished.

But hey let us hire judges endlessly.

Contigency fund that I helped conceive should be activated to fix those drought stricken people.
Otherwise fool - we can fix judiciary in Luo nyanza - while at it.
Gov is a complex organisation - that need to handle many things.
While Kilifi are starving - my people in Konoin are not - and need justice.
