He would be lucky even to get his wife's vote.

Yes from Angloleasing - kibaki regime - he has made his money - but I dont see anybody voting a shadow corrupt dealer like him. But if he continues attacking Raila - he could get some hearing in Mt kenya

He clashed with Uhunye over Babu in 2017, not sure if he is anti-Ruto

My bet is, his goal is to legitimize Babu’s ticket by giving the illusion of a competitive process of picking the ODM flag bearer. He will soon ‘lose’ to Babu, concede, and pledge to support Babu

Jimmy Wanjigi calls on 'old guards' to hand over mantle

Businessman Jimmy Wanjigi (pictured) has called for a change of guard in national politics saying the current leadership cannot ensure economic prosperity. 

Wanjigi who was speaking at St Peters ACK church described party leaders Raila Odinga (ODM), Musalia Mudavadi (ANC) and Kalonzo Musyoka (Wiper) as old guards. 

“These leaders have been in power or national politics for more than 30 years and they cannot change anything, they have not helped this country solve our problems as we seek for economic liberation,” he said. 

The tycoon who has declared interest in the presidential race likened the leaders to the Biblical Goliath who would only be brought down by David.

He noted that Raila was among the leaders who championed the country's second liberation between 1992-2010.  

“However in 2022, there is need for economic liberation where we focus on the growth and development,” Wanjigi said. 

The businessman said economic liberation cannot be championed by those who have been in power for decades. 

“His time is up and the country now needs to be led by a new crop of leaders who can take up the struggle with energy,” he stated.  

Further, Wanjigi called on Kenyans to send all the current leaders home.

I actually listened to his video; he is well spoken; and can make good politician. He can lie without battling a eyelid so that is already a lot of progress.

I was also impressed , His father too is articulate . Seems he got it from his father.

I think Railas tactic is to make him run for Presidency by pretending to have chased him away from ODM like he did to Kalonzo in 2007 and Mudavadi in 2013.

To make him never get traction UDA led by Ruto and his
lieutenants should just ignore him how UhuRuto ignored Peter Keneth and Martha Karua in 2013 and Nyaga in 2017.

He could be desperately broke after 10yrs of Uhuru freezing him. These kind of broker people cannot survive 10yrs without gov tenders. Last I read he hadnt paid for 80,000 a piece trouser. They may have lots of money - but they also live very expensive lifestyles.

So rather than becoming a financier - he has decided get dirty - himself.

True ,post 2010 constituion to be a tenderprenuer you have to be ready to do dirty political work like Murathe. The conventional tenderprenuers during Mois and Kibakis time who used to sponsor campaigns is no longer enough.

The other front is being a Governor. Wont be suprised if he is aiming to become Nairobi Governor Play Sonkos game of winning ODM voting block and top up some Mt Kenya votes.
