When I lived in Uganda, my kids went to Turkish international school (they are many such in many countries including Light academy in Nairobi), the turkish had hospitals and were important investors in Uganda.
Turkey are single-handely rebuilding Somalia. Turkey are building Tanzania SGR.
Many kenyas go for Turkey for quality merchandise - its compete with Dubai and China - for MSEME for sourcing manufactured merchandizes like clothing - with Turkey supplying cheap but quality.
Of course China is a beheemoth - but outside the usual developed nation committed to giving us Aid (West+Japan) - Turkey are interested in Infrastructure and Business

Turkey's biggest advantage against China and other Asian countries is the garantied quality of its products. Turkey's biggest foreign market is the EU. So Turkey has to meet the EU standards. Go even see the apartments built by Turkish companies in Nairobi and compare with the Chinese built ones.

Pundit, that Ruto man is a nobody in Turkey. His company does not even exist online. Most likely just another conman looking out to con naive Africans who think anybody with a light skin is an investor.
Turkey recently kidnapped a Turkish national from Kenya and smuggled him out of the country. These are the qualites President Erdogan values and not some financial midgets looking for deals in Africa. Uhuru is in very good books with that tyrant Erdogan. The man knows how to look up to crooked states.

Of course. But you dont get it - investor confidence is not something to joke with. This is why Magufuli took TZ back. Once investors know you can be kicked out - anytime -without due process - with work permit - they will not come - connected or not. Connection comes and go - but you investment need to stay safe. This story if it lingers affects FDIs.
