Post by: Olekoima on October 16, 2014, 01:20:44 PM
The leader of a secessionist group in Kenya has been charged with holding an illegal gathering and planning to breach the peace.

Omar Mwamnuadzi denied the charge during a court appearance late on Wednesday.

He was arrested with 11 other members of his Mombasa Republican Council (MRC) following a police raid on his home........

The Kenya government is feeding the Beast of Secession for free. There is a new constitution that provides for freedom of association. There is no limit to how many people one have in his home. There is no curfew.

And this nonsense of arresting people without evidence and then the courts agreeing to give the police time to find it is getting to my nerves. Going by the recent past, all people who were held while police looked for incriminating evidence were freed when the police failed to find a shred of evidence against them. The Somali Businessman in Nairobi; The Lamu Governor and now the MRC boss?

Why can't they show this man that he needs not seek a new country and that the one he is in is just, fair and law abiding?

The BBC's Dennis Okari reports from the capital, Nairobi, that Mr Mwamnuadzi and his co-accused were apparently found with material written in Arabic and police have asked for more time to translate the contents.

The 12 have been remanded in custody and will appear in court again later this month.

What exactly do they want? They have a county government now, why not begin from that?
