Global warming extreme weather is beating China to submission. They are getting rainfall from artificial river valleys. This week in Central region they got 8 months of rainfall in an hour. ARV ARTIFICIAL RIVER VALLEYS  aka atmospheric river can fuck up shit. In California the water being used today was as a result of a year of ARV flood. Due to GW this phenomenal may be back with a bang ..

China is spending billions to rehab old Mao dams and water reservoirs but corruption is harboring these efforts. For now the Chinese are relying of early warning systems to move people out of harms way

WHat happens in CA can affect Kenya's weather, or any place in the world. So, lets not fool ourselves. Himalaya snow is melting displacig millions. West cost of USA is burning while SE USA is waterlogged. These are regions that produce food for millions of people worldwide.

Those must be dams & servoirs built in 70s? The Chinese have become SUPER BUILDERS now - the sterling infra I have seen rolling out like clockwork. Noone can match. They obviously need to uproot or upgrade those old works.

Climate-inspired flooding needs very resilient engineering. Not Moi's gabions :) Germany is under flush floods noone saw coming - folks had barely a few days warning.

As these wild California fires become perennial expect startups focused on anti-fire solutions. Drought was no big problem before with piped water but now this is a nightmare.
