I mean right from word go you could tell Bbi was designed to fail..Uhuru has achieved his machievalian wishes and ruled like a king by sending Raila in a wild goose chase and Ruto out tracking Raila.

Yes, he seems to listen to Junet - and his somali millions now - and Paul Mwangi. Orengo and the company get mesmerized by Atwoli and Glenfindich. Well from ab initio anybody could tell BBI was nonsense on steroid. To lose 20 counts in high court is an indictment.
If I was Raila now - I would demand a share of gov now. It simply takes a temporary alliance with Ruto and threatens to impeach Uhuru for flouting the constitution. Force Uhuru to share gov in the spirit of BBI. Nothing stopped Uhuru from naming Matiangi de-facto PM and firing Ruto as DPORK like he has done.
You don't need BBI to share power - you need goodwill and trust from PORK. You don't need BBI to devolve 35% - DO IT NOW. We are in the budget process...DO It NOW. Governors and MCA can start WARD FUND today like Uasin gishu has done.
But will he listen - the cow will be told - AG is appealing :)

Raila now only follows the orders of the wife. Junet and Others realized they get what they want or need plus a lot of power by not opposing the Boss's wife who is the real boss. They don't attempt to reason with her as they saw others try & end up badly.
Let me explain the genesis: Ida struck a bush deal with Mama Nani that they'll hand power to Raila. All he had to do was stop this swearing in thing and all will be well.
Now some super-context: Mama Nani is perhaps the most experienced political schemer in Kenya. She can drop names and places nobody else knows. All the big and tiny names of Kenya pre-indepence and independence politicians she knew. In short Ida isn't in a position to negotiate with Mama Nani's sandals.
But I blame Raila for paying attention to a deal like that. He should have sent the wife with one document setting out where proper negotiations would take place and his minimums. Could've improved on NARA and gone for rotational presidency at 2½ years at a time with Uhuru starting.
Instead he accepted a bush deal. Bush because deals made by apes and monkeys are unknown and get violated anyway

Bush deal it was but how was Raila so naive because Uhuru kept pushing BBI forward; we had BBI 1.0 , BBI 2.0, BBI 4.0 and as we speak; this BBI was already time-barred; This was a transparent con-game that judges has given nearly 2% mark...they just about got wrong everything.
So it's not just the bad deal from the word go - it's the inability to get out of a bad deal or at least make something out of it.
Anyway for now - he better change tact - and fire all advisors - and bring in a new team- of hard-nosed political players! I can offer pro-borno advice if they ask me :) :)
He has only one leverage now - Budget 2021/2022 - after Uhuru passes that - he will go on retirement mode - and become totally MTEJA :)

But I'm told there's creatures that instead of fleeing actually speeds up to the ship. Sea birds, bird eating fish like sharks and sea snakes. Sea snakes go after fleeing mice and rats. They are just a bit careful with rats. Some rats can kill a snake and injure a cat

That's the nature of politics. Voltaire or someone said of the crowds that turned up to greet and celebrate him after the overthrow of the hated monarchy: "They will turn up in even greater numbers to see & cheer my public hanging...".
Moi realized his good luck had run out and the orange was dry and withered. He quit. Kibaki learned from the mistake Moi made and abandoned trying to impose MaDvD on the country. It was never his idea in the first place.

Raila is still the man to beat in Kenyan politics. The BBI thing was an attempt at an elusive national unity but if it completely fails, Raila will form a coalition that cannot be beat in a non stolen election.
