Title: Byran275, on BBC iPlayer
Post by: vooke on March 11, 2018, 08:32:52 PM
So I have had a few days break and not interested in holidaying given the rains I opted to try out iPlayer. Just paid $10 for one month of IPVanish and installed the apk.

I think I’m hooked.

The documentaries are out of this world

I think BBC should be the standard unit of journalism

Right now I’m watching an 85min documentary on the epic Hitchcock’s bathroom scene from Psycho. It’s in black and white you can imagine....like Schindler’s List.

Before this I watched House of Saud documentary on Saudi Arabia...too bad I missed one episode.

I think the last few days are the best times of my live behind tv (smartphone to be precise)

The BBC iPlayer App is amazing... have you seen the Blue Planet and Horizon series?  Human Planet?  You can't miss an episode on iPlayer... their strap line is "Making the unmissable, unmissable!"

Enjoy... we pay a TV licence fee per annum.  No ads.. just pure TV content.  Please let me know if you see anything else I can catch.

I don't watch live TV any more as all the terrestrial tv channels here have catch up and on demand apps.   How are you doing for data costs?  In Dec we tried logging onto iplayer from NBO and it didn't work...

I’ll let you in on the content that tickles me. I’m more interested in the factual/documentary genre but I’ve watched a couple of fiction and I don’t know why British English is more appealing to me than American. It’s like I’m studying high school literature; Sarcasm, deep vocabulary. Amazing.

Hitchcock scene was analyzed frame by frame. It was so detailed that it dizzied me.

Data?
Nothing beats Safaricom Home Fiber

I’m on Silver package (10MbpS ) and it serves me alright. Unlimited data. Magical.
Too bad they are still rolling it out and your hood may miss it.

Now that BBC has cracked down on VPNs, you need this DNS tweak
