When it comes to religion, I do not take people for their word. Most people know what is safe to say in what environment.

The answer to the question do you live your life as if there is a deity or not? tells us more about the person than these tags ever could.

These people made a grown man weep by steadfast refusal to accept his self identification as a Jew. 


The moral of the story?  Labels will leave you in tears with no legal recourse.

The reality is that everybody is conflicted on these issues, even those who profess they are not.

You are running away from tags into definitions, which are in and of themselves tags. What exactly is 'living your life as if there is a deity'? And what do you mean by deity?

Living your life as if there is a deity?  That means you live your life as if an iteration of the putative entity whose definition is provided above exists.  The converse is you live your life as if there is no such entity, or that such a putative entity is irrelevant.
