Tsisekendi maintains  lead. Electoral commission provisional results show he leads with 80 % while his closer challenger has 15 percent. If this trend holds he is going to win a second term

Tsisekedi 80% :o
The man got 18% of the votes in the last election. He would be lucky to get 15% this time.

I think Fayulu is still the man to beat. Tshisekedi was rigged in by Kabila - probably has many allies today but 80% is obviously ballot stuffing.

DRC is not even a banana republic it's a shithole country. Banana are TZ, Rwanda, Uganda where there is one big Kanu since independence. DRC league is South Sudan, Sudan, Somalia and Ethiopia.

Kenya despite the flaws and Azimio maandamano you are actually eons ahead regionally in rule of law. People actually go to court - and pyrrhic victory can be overturned. Only a few rioters die but no political figure runs to exile.
I desire to go to hell and not to heaven. In the former place I shall enjoy the company of popes, kings, and princes, while in the latter are only beggars, monks, and apostles. ~ Niccolo Machiavelli on his deathbed, June 1527
