Title: Kabgo doing well with collection of revenue
Post by: RV Pundit on July 08, 2016, 07:13:21 AM
All counties need to do the same...build their capacity to collect own money...to supplement what they get from Treasury.

Kabogo has shown that a politician can bribe voters get elected, maintain the potential trouble makers on a retainer (handouts) and then unleash the loot he has amassed from skimming the government to get accolades and float back in to power.

Most of the governors who make it back will be ineligible for a third term and will be looking to be running mates or attempt runs of their own. I foresee massive theft as they polish their retirement packages or stock on campaign funds for 2022.

Interesting that Kabogo's isolation by Kiambu leaders has led to results. No doubt, man works best under pressure. So many projects ongoing. Health facilities in Kiambu likely to be the best across the country. Waste management -impressive. Despite hostility due to rise in taxes (evident in these records), no brutal relations with small traders like in Kideros Kanjo Kingdom- there was a case of burning Makongeni market.
