However the turn out of events have been that through handshake they managed to Galvanize Mt Kenya under Ruto and also in the process lost a big junk of Anti GEMA coalition votes (Western/ Coast/Kissis)
Now they are changing tactic - They want to as much as possible tie Ruto with Raila - As they have learnt from experience with Uhuru any thing you associate Raila with Mt Kenya will always oppose and revolt . They have started through media and statements showing support or associating Ruto with Raila , You will see alot of these in the comming weeks .
As we told Uhuru we are telling Ruto - if he wants to lose Mt Kenya votes let him tag along with Raila .

Saboti MP Caleb Amisi said given that Raila was able to agree on a working arrangement with Uhuru, who had been is political enemy, there would be nothing impossible.
“Some of us who were abusing Uhuru are now his number one supporters. You can never wish away any possibility, anything is possible," the lawmaker declared.
“They have worked together before and they can still work together. Politics is a matter of interest, and if the interests of Raila and Ruto converge at some point, they will work together.”
