Mpe Carton massacre-IPOA's take
« on: October 07, 2014, 08:07:16 AM »
The NPS knew everything but chose to do nothing. In fact, police officers were ordered not to intervene??????
"
The report released on Monday by the Independent Policing Oversight Authority says that senior commanders in Nairobi cautioned their juniors against moving in to confront the attackers and save the residents.
In so doing, the first specialised response units arrived at the besieged township in Lamu County seven hours late, after the slaughter and wanton destruction of property was over and all the assailants had escaped

I am beginning to like these IPOA guys. They've lately been doing their job. They've blocked recruitment after NPS usual corruption...and have made sure some trigger happy cops are in court..and now they are filling the gaps by doing inquiries into some of the big screw ups like Mpeketoni. Kudos to Njeru and team.

You see the reason Kimaiyo has banned officers from speaking to press?  They blame the bureaucracy live live for all the omissions and commisions of Vigilance house and Kimaiyo doesn't like that kind of publicity.

The NPS has failed in Westgate, Mpeketoni, Likoni, Baringo, Mandera/Wajir yaani kila mahali even regarding recruitment! Bure kabisa!

PEV Naivasha redux.  What they forget to mention.  Kimaiyo's independence begins and ends on paper.  He is still taking instructions from State House.

with mutea out of OP I  thought Kimaiyo would have a free hand ..... looks like he is just happy with bible study

I need to see this IPOA report on mpeketoni...they indicated that the arms used in mpeketoni were sourced from Liboi and escorted by police..that's some crazy shit there

Let me get this, So Ouru was saying that ODM had caused chaos yet these IPOA says police knew n did nothing!!
The affected should sue the govt. for failing to protect them.
Also if they have been taking trigger happy cops to court, am happy witth that. There are so many deaths caused by these people who have no accountability. who even knows whether they are supervised.

Macharia will become another Maina Kiai - labeled disloyal and an enemy of his tribe. The Daily Nation cannot even bring itself to write his name in their rag.
