A report by a local daily has set the internet ablaze after it informed that Jubilee Vice-Chair had told off ODM MPs against demanding certain positions of specific Committees at the National Assembly as well as calling for the removal of members of the Tangatanga political faction.

In the report by the Standard, Murathe was quoted saying they will not allow ODM MPs to dictate to them what they want saying they had given them a favour by sharing leadership positions at the Committees.

Jubilee Vice Chair David Murathe.

“There is no room for any further consultations on the list. The president knows the competencies of each of these people and has distributed the positions according to his belief on the capacity of each MP. Besides you cannot dictate which committee you want to serve in,” said Murathe as quoted by the Standard.

But hiyo DP is already useless after they snatched Ruto's power through executive orders. PORK ndio kitu yote. That is top dog - and can issue executive order rendering a PM senile.

But this will be corrected once GEMA goes for DP position will be powerful, plan is to have lets say like PK be in a position to take pork after this kura. Gatheca is pulling too many strings on his succession but he is not God he cant guarantee anything past 2022,he has too much baggage, gideon, kalonzo, raira, oparanya etc that all want PORK. Unlike Ruto whos problem is just a running mate.
As it stands Ruto is still man to beat his base is solid both in rift and mt. Kenya, depending on whom gatheca toshas hustler could reap more, fallout will be great in gathecas side. Hustler is doing right saving his energy and resources he needs this in 2022 seriously, money wise he is sorted with about 100 Billion kenya shillings at his disposal he can mount one hell of a campaign compared to what ODM has had in the past of below 10 Billion shs.

BBI will show - the way - or no way. I sense from Murathe - they are not really interested in a referendum - just stringing along Raila.

Uhuru was disarmed by Ruto giving in. Raila should know the leverage he had is gone. Once Ruto told his troops to surrender - the war ended - why would Uhuru need Raila - when Kenya is peacefully united behind Kenyatta's as they loot.

Both Uhuru and Raila had anticipated Ruto fighting them - Ruto told all his troops to surrender positions and retreat. The battle ended but the war is on. It like the Vietnam war of the wits that saw Viet Cong winning against the might USA by becoming unpredictable. Or close home the mighty Nandi warriors fighting Brits for 15yrs - by knowing when to withdraw and when to attack - it takes incredible discipline and courage to withdraw.

Power concedes nothing. That is why when you get a small window of opportunity -you should take advantage like Ruto does. You can wake up tomorrow to find it gone. It's cutthroat.

You don't kick out Ruto to invite Raila. That is worse than zero work. It's going from frying pan direct to the fire.

For now the focus of Uhuru is to govern (steal) in peace - and ODM had better behave - like Ruto group :)

The Nandi warriors are not recognized enough for incredibly holding ground for 11-15yrs against the mighty British but discipline was key

Scenario 1:

It had been a near run battle. It had looked at the moment by observers that the IV Company sections would be over-run. But, the Sudanese askaris and their British officers had stood their ground and both participants had experienced the capabilities of the one another. The British learned something of the Nandi discipline, elan, and tactics, and the Nandi learned something about the effectiveness of the gunfire they had never experienced before. However, it had come at a cost to both sides. The Nandi lost over a hundred warriors killed and the British lost fourteen askaris and irregulars killed, including Sergeant Chongo.

Scenario 2:
Although there was one more successful attack by the Nandi on a fortified Kabras village, the Nandi appear to have been content with the success of their raids on the Uganda Road. The operations had been well planned and executed as the warriors had defeated several European caravans with the loss of only two warriors. When provided the opportunity, the warriors had decisively struck. When the Europeans had the advantage, the Nandi warriors possessed the discipline to avoid a costly attack. And all this was accomplished by raiding parties, not the combined might of the Nandi tribes.

Incredible story i never thought this was real always thought you exaggerated. It seem Nandi were bad ass very incredible. It appears though Masaai really aided you guys in defeating the arabs and whites, by giving false misleading information and refusing to aid in fighting Nandi. You can't rule out the masaai really helped.
Then who are tbese people? Kamasia, Kitosh and Kikelelwa.? It seems there was lots of small kabilas neighboring Nandi then. It also clear the baluhya kabilas and luo kavirondoalso greatly snitched against Nandi and provided shelter for arabs and bazungu.

Maasai aiding Nandis? Unless you mean by Talai moving from Maasai to Nandi. Otherwise Maasai acted like war mercenaries for British and other tribes - but knew Nandis were so bad arse they never could dare enter Nandi territory - even if they were promised so many cattle - no African tribe would dare cross Nandi territory. Kitosh are Bukusu. Kamasai is another name for Tugen. Kilelewa I am not sure.

The Nandis resisted British until 1906 - around 15yrs from when war with Europeans started the war - or officially 11 yrs when British declared war. This was longest resistance in East Africa.

It was very impressive. The Brits eventually won when they massacred Koitalel and the entire family in a peace conference - and over the years - the nandis gave in to the British colonial rule.

Btw Nandi - was Arab name given to them by slave traders - meaning a rapacious bird. The original name of nandis was Chemwal - either to mean one who talk too much or a cattle raider - one who entrap cattle.

The Nandis raided everyone including other Kalenjin tribes except the Kipsigis whom they consider their cousins and allies.

Quote
Bribed with gifts of Nandi cattle, even the Masai refused to offer their services. This was most disconcerting as this had never before been a problem against other tribes neighboring the Nandi. Cunningham was forced to enter unexplored territory without the benefit of guides or skirmishers.

Things are going back to default settings and the causalties will be Uhuru and Raila. Uhuru looting spree will be stopped and Raila might end up even not vying in 2022. Its turning out to be the New KANU of 2002 which swallowed Tinga and Kasarani selections. Raila had no otherwise than to Tosha Kibaki.

Njuri - in fact the British never really defeated Nandi in battle. A cease fire was declared where Nandi were forced to give up lots of land and pay huge fines.

Most Nandis eventually left for Western (many became luhyas and teso), Pokot, Uganda and Tanzania. Others also went to rest of kalenjin sub-tribes to avoid paying huge fines and with dwindling land. The Brits then annexed Uasin Gishu that Nandis had won over Maasai and most of Nandi. Talai leaders were eventually jailed for many years - in Lamu, Nyeri, Muranga and anywhere the Brits fancied- and the entire clan removed from rest of nandi- and confined to one location surrounded by huge swamp. The British had realize the Talai were the strategist that unitied Nandis.
