Ruto is not first one to use money - heck 90% of our politicians use money. Raila is more likely to use propaganda, violence and intimidation against his opponent than money. GEMA elites are insular because they are the majority - as long as you've cornered GEMA you start at nearly 30% of the vote. So they don't have to really campaign outside Gema. A very important segment of Gema, Luos, Kalenjins, Luhyias, are starting to understand that the politics of trying to beat Gema's or luos, Kalenjins is not working.  The BBI is an attempt at inclusive.  We have to find a homegrown formula to how we design our democracy.

Its amazing how pundit cannot see through the fact that the toxic political divisive environment that the hate filled boisterous and chest-thumping kikuyu/kalenji coalition created was unsustainable. Nipate.Com was a microcosm of the country and just like nipate.com died the Ouruto coalition could barely last 5years before it totally collapsed as unsustainable.    Ruto had to steal a lot of money to sustain that kind of unstable political environment and it is the stealing its self was not sustainable.  Ruto did not have to steal so much if he spent more time reducing the political temperature in the country by designing a more inclusive coalition which included Raila. Ouru was brought to it yelling and screaming by our foreign benefactors who showed him real intelligence of where the country was headed.  They were right. Immediately after the handshake, the political temperature in the country went down by almost 100 points overnight. Ruto is too hot headed, arrogant and egoistic to realize that his greed and  ambitions are unattainable.  He needs to swallow his pride and go back to the drawing board. This country has tasted both the politically unstable Kikuyu/Kalenjin coalition and the handshake politics.  It appears the country likes the stability of the  handshake politics. Its not perfect but its much better than Nipate.Com Kenya that Ruto wanted to create.

All I hear you talk about is Ruto this and that and ....
I have not seen any good policy that has come out of the man's office despite being in highest office for ten years plus. All I see is Ruto raising his profile for the next job, eve though he has not done anything. How about raising the profile of the regular guy?  All the Mathare slum people are our people, and giving them a chance in life is all they ask for. A society is always rated on how well it treats the weakest members within it. How I miss the old days of Shikuku, when fairness was the order of the day. Most politicians are all for their pockets,. Slash MPs pay to reflect the country's standing.
