This not time for Kikuyus to abandon Uhuru
« on: May 21, 2020, 06:10:07 PM »
Open letter to Kikuyu Jubilee Supporters.
This is not the right time to abandon Uhuru. I am not a jubilee member and I never supported Uhuru or Jubilee. However, the current scorn and ridicule of Uhuru by Kikuyus is unwarranted. Uhuru could have chosen to sit home and watch PEV but he decided to get involved and that landed him in ICC. He took personal responsibility and faced trial. The trial ended in mistrial due to lack of evidence. On the eve of the elections he was convinced by Kibaki camp to abandon his candidacy and leave it to compromise candidate Mudavadi. He did as asked and even signed an agreement. However, the kikuyu nationalists demanded he run for presidency. He was a reluctant candidate.
The only big mistake he made was borrowing money to build SGR thus crippling the economy. There is no evidence he stole any money, there is no evidence he will stay in power, there is no evidence that he promised Kenyans anything but peace and ending of ICC trials.
Why then is being blamed for everything wrong with the society?Did Uhuru ask those in leadership positions to loot the country? Is he responsible for the poverty that has been in Kenya since god knows when?
When the chips are down for Kikuyus as they were during PEV he was the only rich politician willing to stick his neck out for the community. Is that not enough for you? Is his quest to end corruption and reunite Kenya not good enough for you? What do you want him to do?
The accusations of corruption against Ruto are not from Uhuru. We can say Uhuru is reluctantly confronting this corruption. He has a duty to the nation to make sure that anarchy doesn't take root. He has a duty to the taxpayers and the voiceless to ensure that their money is not stolen.
Kikuyus are sacrificing Uhuru for sins of others and for our own lack of accountability. Uhuru being born in Kenyatta family is a biological accident, he didn't choose his family. The sins of his father should NOT be put on him.
When Uhuru leaves office and you get your wish to elect Ruto, you will remember him and cry for him.
As for now Nyumba should support Uhuru till his term ends. Live and die with your choice. it is all you got.
Let me hear what you think

Jubilee 1.0 no one complained. In fact, Jubilee improved its razor-thin victory from 50% to 54%, increased the tally of MPs, Mcas and name it. Then he got smart, dumped Jubilee manifesto, picked Raila who had been vanquished, came up with hair-brained manifesto called BIG 4 Agenda before having it to Tanga-Tanga anti-Ruto campaign, then BBI and then CORONA :).

People were very happy - seeing Jubilee SGR, roads, electricity, TIVET, dams and country was looking up! The vibe was positive - only a few governors were thieving in such scale - but Jubilee were developing - Ruto was opening a project every day.

Fast forward 2020 - Uhuru is like Trump - even his diehard has got to think about the future of the country now. By the time CORONA is done with us - Uhuru legacy will be in so many tatters - he will probably get impeached.

Uhuru will end up with no legacy if he doesn't drive Kenya into civil war. He has confused kenya for Uganda and now thinks he is Museveni.

He will soon get the memo when Raila abandon him too :) he will be left with nobody; Not NASA; Not Jubilee. NASA are touching him 10-feet pole - with maDVD telling to go to hell. Even poor Isaac Ruto refused his CS cabinet post.

You cannot expect politician to come rescue in 2021 - when election will happen in 2nd Q of 2022 - all of them expected to resign and contest party primaries in January 2022.

kikuyus wont abandon Uhuru. They are just throwing tantrums but when the chips are down they will have his back.

I just saw Alice Wahome being told off on KOT. She was insinuating that they are fighting dynasties. Kikuyus were very unequivocal that she has no legs to stand on. anyway I think there is a certain gullibility with Kikuyus that made them elect uhuru but they wont make this mistake twice by electing ruto
