Poor business and strategic plan. The flooding menace  and low economic activity on that route will renders that route a high risk. Should stick with Nairobi Nakuru Kisumu Eldoret route.

The key is the sgr to go through kengen industrial park. The park is in olkaria about 30km from naivasha http://www.businessdailyafrica.com/Corporate-News/KenGen-cheaper-Olkaria-power/-/539550/2303524/-/oj6buhz/-/index.html . A lot of companies in EPZ zone and AGOA focused industries will relocate to that park.

why not built a link to the industrial park? And let the line continue through nakuru to eldoret.

They lie...unless the line through narok is short.

The plan is to upgrade the malaba-nairobi line to SGR later. The Narok route is shorter, is less hilly and it open ups another corridor.
