I also watched "king of nerds" showdown between a neuroscience researcher and jeopardy champion. The challenge was figuring out the missing word in a "nuclear" like setting. Corny. The word was obviously "Manhattan" as in the Manhatten project but it took them a while to figure it out, neuroscientist didn't even figure it out in the end. Show should be called "queen of wanks"

Hey RP, it doesn't show on mine too... hmm... you could try a search on utube? I'll let you know if I come by a better link. I may get the dvd and upload parts of it on utube.

Thanks Veri! I'll update some features from my end. Hopefully, this will work

Joey Chestnut is the hot-dog eating champ of the world.  He also holds world records in eating deep fried asparagus, steak, hard-boiled eggs among others.

Probably steroids. Kobayashi's "Solomon method"

He eats hot dogs by splitting the frankfurter in half, dipping the buns in water, and then stuffing both parts in his mouth. He calls this the Solomon Method.

I'm trying to figure out whether they began their hedonistic pursuits while severely depressed. I can consume literally buckets of icecream when depressed.

Hehehe...Solomon method must be the glutton's equivalent of Olajuwon's dream shake.

What about Lee Sun-kyung (the black widow aka Sonya Thomas)? She is amazing. I just saw this 98 pound beautiful woman eat fifteen extra large boiled eggs in less than a minute, two years ago in Cali.

It would be interesting to stick a sensor in their mouth and measure the chewing rate. Their eating pattern appears similar to binge eating anorexics. They probably throw up regularly after training sessions.

Veritas, the food and travel show Spain...on the Road Again which featured Mario Batali, Gwyneth Paltrow, Claudia Bassols, was an excellent program that I'd watch on PBS; on each episode they'd cover the culinary traditions from different parts of Spain.

Anthony Bourdain puts out an interesting culinary show on the Travel Channel and the Cooking Channel.
