On "Rodeo" fiasco here in Houston
« on: February 21, 2015, 04:49:06 AM »
Everyone's been yapping about it. I think I'll just check out the carni foods: http://www.rodeohouston.com/Activities/Dining.aspx#1785231-nrg-park

Hopefully I won't end up with bowel obstructions.

This BBQ seems to be the shekinah glory for chaps here: http://www.rodeohouston.com/Events/WorldsChampionshipBarBQue.aspx

I'm not sure what I could eat except for perhaps a sizzled capsicum. I'm not expecting a vegan fresco. Thing I miss about Sydney is good coffee and good food.

Anyway.. I'm off to a Mexican market for supper. I've learnt a lot of spanish since arriving. People speak to me in Spanish and now I just nod. Si.

This just seems like animal cruelty.

That's lovely. I love the hispanic culture here. The only real Espanol exposure I had back in Sydney growing up was Ravel-Bolero, Bizet's Carmen etc. which I played in the sydney youth orchestra. Spanish themes are my favourite cultural pieces. Very fun to play in orchestras.

I can still sing the melody like every note from start to finish-Bolero

Gosh I miss Bizet, very much. I very much miss playing in the orchestra. My hearts sinks when I think about it. I should've been an artist.
