"Black history month" and church life
« on: February 06, 2015, 10:09:18 AM »
My folks are in DC... and they've been attending an African American church... reading out loud chapters from a "black history" book.. given it's "black history month." They seem to be the only non-black pair in the congregation. Ma prefers the company of African Americans over other ethnicities. She's already made more friends than me.

I quizzed her and asked.. what if there's a "white history month." My goodness you should've seen the venom. I didn't realise ma is more African than me.
