Affordable housing pyramid scheme summary
« on: December 21, 2023, 08:51:17 PM »
@DictatorWatch
How it works:
Ruto's people grab the land
Claim they'll construct houses for the owners
The land is given to their own companies
The companies are "loaned" money from the Housing "Tax" Fund
They build the houses
They set the price too high for the "Hustlers"
They Direct the "Hustlers" to their co-conspirator Banks
The banks demand collateral
If the hustler gives land etc as collateral the interests down the line & in print too small for a Hustler to read, are imposed
But they are in principle not supposed to loan
By the time hustler returns, all the units have been sold
What about the land?
It's gone. Long gone. It's in the name of some company you can't pronounce
What about the "loan" to the company from the Affordable Housing "Tax
What loan. It was a grant.
If you complain, they show you the houses. Fully built.
If the opposition protests?
They accuse it of wanting citizens to continue living in slums like "Kibera".
It all looks really "Developed".

What is wrong with the current model?
Investors buy land develop and then sell.
Why not give people loans to buy these properties.
Also I think prices will be inflated due to the fact that lots of people will get loans that they cant even repay.
