What happened to CS Linturi's maize imports from Zambia?
« on: September 22, 2023, 04:19:14 PM »
Linturi promised Kenyans they would feel the effect of the cheap imports by August this year. He was so loud mouthed and I am surprised nobody has even taised the issue in parliament. How can a CS make such big promises and he is allowed to get away with it when he does not deliver?

One area Ruto though can make a breakthrough is maneno concerning IT and technology if Rito is indeed smart this area could be his legacy for Kenya,he has already set the ground for that but it depends on how he plays it,Kenya can be hub of manufacturing EVs ,cellphones among other equipment even chipset
Lets wait and see we haven't given up on Ruto yet.
I will be disappointed if he wont capitalize on his closeness with US for this as this is the only area US can help Kenya nothing else. Ruto shouldn't be used by the Americans and we don't benefit.

China has already won the EV and phone market with their huge volume low cost products.

The only thing Ruto might get to do is recruit Kenyans to be western mercenaries fighting western wars against china/Russia and preaching western religion such as climate change and trans-lgbtq agendas.

Kweli people are losing hope on Ruto,
While I agree with you on China, actually was shocked to find china has 100s of EVs manufacturers. But in the west they are now locking out China, Kenya can grab this position and become the new  huge volume low cost while we might not get to chinas level US could purchase from us and other European countries, we could be substitute to china, if Ruto is not thinking this then his head needs recabriation, have noticed we are already importing from Ukraine many things like wheat and alcohol almost tax free to please Biden, already African countries have seen what Ruto is trying we will be isolated but  who cares if as long as US EU buy from us. Its all business nothing personal.

Inorder to have big manufacturing industries in the electric vehicles market, goverment needs to pass legislation that 70 % of all gOK vehicles should be electric, give tax subsidies to manufacturers plus companies and individuals who buy electric vehicles..that way you will have 20000 electric vehicles being produced for the local market..no rocket science.
