Peter Salaysa: 1.1 M salary But Takes Home 97,000

What stood out for me here was the mortgage deduction of 563,000 (why would you take out a mortgage in kenya?) Wouldn't he be better off saving his money and using the cash to build a small house in the village? and a car loan of 90,000?

This is why taking out a mortgage is crazy in kenya (but I think the rate is about 30%, which is still too high) and with a 7 million car grant (that's $70,000 dollars of free money!) why would you take out a loan for a car? I'd buy a used toyota.

No wonder they lick every ass.

Everyone living beyond their means and productivity just like the country. And explain why you will keep begging for state jobs.
I underestimated the heartbreaks visited by hasla revolution

Gov employees and banks get "cheap" rate of less than 10%. Paying off mortgage in 5yrs is good investment. the crazy thing - they still get 150K house allowances.

But clearly it's criminal for MP to earn 90k from 1.1M. That one will just be begging.

They get car grant and car loan - buy two prados - one for wife - one for himself.

This is why taking out a mortgage is crazy in kenya (but I think the rate is about 30%, which is still too high) and with a 7 million car grant (that's $70,000 dollars of free money!) why would you take out a loan for a car? I'd buy a used toyota.

Yes, my cousin is cdf manager, those mps are broke, and are at their mercy, when not begging and intimidating civil servants - or queuing in ruto office.
