This guy Gets it. his analysis is point on. there is a big chunk of Gatundu that borders Akina Thika plains and ukambani that is very dry. this settlements were probably of people who were working in mzungu plantations or who lost land during colonial land grab.
even the non dry areas in gatundu there is no land left. the population pressure is too much. coffee has damaged the soil so even after uprooting it you can't get good return. uhuru did a lot of infrastructure provision of water and roads plus time coffee prices were up. however the recent drought is a major concern. poor people are going days without eating ..uhuru did facilitate a lot of employment in civil service or gok general. I know that because my nieces and beephews in this area benefited. Covid dried out the remiitanxs coming to this rural area from urban areas.

the economic slow down from covid fallout was pinned on uhuru and the people revolted kiujinga..now they are panicked..there is bitterness and a lot of fights in the families ..ruto got get this economy back on track or these people are doomed forever
