1. Every lead pastor needs both internal and external accountability.
2. Church elders need an apostolic overseer to appeal to in case of an impasse
3. Satellite churches need their own pastor/preacher.
4. The "one man brand" of the church leaves the church vulnerable.
5. The essence of the church needs to be based upon the centrality of Christ.
6. Every lead pastor needs an equally competent understudy who can step in.
7. The congregation has to be more committed to their corporate vision than to the lead pastor and/or to their social networks.

Telling me that Malachi 3 doesn't apply today is like saying the whole Old testament is irrelevant.  I don't like the idea of using selective biblical interpretations to suit specific contexts.

It is as relevant as offering bulls and sprinkling blood and purifying a new mother with turtledoves.

You are the selective one here in cherrypicking which parts of Torah to observe and even those you don't keep. Jews tithed twice per annum and a third time every third year. So you are busy knocking yourself out with 10% while the Jew gave 22.3% p.a in tithes

Vooke your interpretation of the principle of tithing is very timely (Dr Kanyari) but also equally baffling. Why is it Jesus did not condemn tithing/offering when He had such a perfect opportunity?

Jesus the Jews were not tithing at that point in time so you need to explain why you think this was an opportunity to condemn it.

Secondly don't confuse tithes and offering. They are distinct from Genesis to Hebrews. It is the theory that 10% of your income is required of God that is baseless.

And finally, tithing need not be condemned for it to be invalidated. We had Laws about menstruating women being unclean. THose Laws were nowhere condemned and I doubt even White in her worst delusions prescribed that

2. You don't serve God as you deem fit, you worship in Truth and in spirit. THis means you relate to God in His own terms not off your imaginations. Relate to God according to scriptures

3. Leave alone negroes, kina Ananias and Saphira and barnabas sold properties and laid the proceeds at the apostles' feet. THis don't make it a command,principle or requirement, just a record of the same. If tithing is full of all those blessings, why not do 30% of your gross income and get 200% blessings over and above the regular 10% tither?

4. Tithing is legalism no different from Adventism who shriek at switching on a Microwave on Saturday. Christ shed his blood to set you free from the stringent requirements of the Law. Paul called Galatians bewitched and foolish for going back to Torah

5. There are glorious testimonies from tithers and non-tithers. Tithing clearly is a hygiene factor when it comes to prosperity.. In fact it breeds modern-day Pharisees who gloat of their squeaky clean tithing streak unlike 'other men' like vooke
