Its not the local rain that killed, rather water amassed from the higher elevation 10-20 miles away and aimed its missiles. Nothing could stop it. It came crushing into the basement apartment immediately drowning anyone and everything that was on its path. It only took 5min.
If you think it wont happen in Kenya, think again!!! Thats the day youll know there was a river road.
Most of those houses are uninsured.

Plus the local rain was too much. I places like NJ it rain inches of rain in a period of 5 minutes. The cresting of rivers is where the danger lies. Especially in North East. In kenya we usually have these issue in Tana River and other areas have big river that flow into the ocean
