He may be in prison but his conscience remains free. Uthamakistan is doomed.

Maybe if they throw in Treason charge he may get back his senses and retreat to ivory towers - and impart knowledge to kids - rather than trying to play nursery politics.

Flying squad half an hour ago.

What would they charge him with? I see no offence. They are just going to promote him to a higher status.

Looks like rumors, but I sure as hell have seen countless calls for his arrest among Okoyu

What evidence would sustain a treason charge?

BTW conspiring to rig elections and subvert law and order is more treasonous that making use of a treaty signed by your own government and ratified by the national Assembly / Government.

Ndii should be arrested and detained with no trial. A trial will go nowhere as there is no crime he has comitted. :D :D :D

Calling or promoting secession is treason. Ask MRC.
Treason refers to extreme acts against one’s nation.

The MRC case. GoK lost. They refused to accept.

Please refer me to the specific law that outlaws calling for secession.

Stealing election is criminal offence that has max jail term of 5yrs I think. Treason like Raila of 82 or Ndii of 2017 is serious shit.

Calm down. I recall the High Court permitting MRC to have its organization against shrill protests from Kibaki's side of the coalition govt. Do I recall wrong? It's a while ago but I remember Kibe Muingai criticizing Raila on a talk show for not being as forceful when Raila called for approaching them in a more understanding way rather than come out guns blazing. I will look for a report from back then.

He will soon find serving Raila is a vain, thankless job. He should talk to likes of Miguna and Namwamba.

Anyway what 'self determination' when those areas did not turn out to vote? if the turnout was 90% the talk of 'self determination' would make some sense?

It's literally a written petition to an institution of the AU of which Kenya is a part. I would be happy to hear the arguments of the genius who tries to argue before a court that presenting petitions to courts is treason in Kenya.  :D C'mon. This is literally nothing that you people are giving fire to by creating martyrs out of kina Ndii.Tell your friends at Jubilee warelax. Arresting Ndii is silly. One, It's not an illegal document or process and two, it's not even Dr. Ndii's. We have political parties that exist solely for the purpose of secession in places like Canada with no problem. Claiming that the mere discussion of it or even its pursuit (without violence) is treason will be a tall order for anyone who attempts. It would only happen with a completely subservient judiciary.

Promoting secession  plus mass action if supreme Court rules against NASA sounds to me like dangerous stuff off the treason kind. The Judges will decide but I would throw him in for some days so he can cool down. This guy careless talk is dangerous coz he an intellectual getting free prime time airtime.

Nobody arrested him, the usual NASWA windbags are not even murmuring about it.

I can't see anything worth arresting him, but then again, Jubilee does not any reason to do it other than their own fears

Dr. Ndii is an academic. This kind of discussion is just an honest intellectual discourse, no more. Perhaps the timing of the discussion is a bit unwise but then again perhaps not, who am I to say? But the talk itself is just a mere academic discussion. For one, NASA don't want secession and most Kenyans would not go for it (in my view) at this time given the intermixing of people all over. At most it might lead to an eventual discussion of the extent of devolution and perhaps deepening it (which you want). But the petition itself won't have any tangible outcome. African states don't even implement the Commission's decisions many times any way. For another, I listened to Dr. Ndii's NTV interview: I am not even convinced HE is calling for it outright. He is saying nationalism basically is a conversation that can no longer be avoided (which I agree with 100%). He is saying we must re-evaluate why we want to continue together and not necessarily saying the outcome of that re-evaluation is secession. This is being blown out of proportion for nothing.

Gout

You need a new transplant. I hope some dead lizard brain would be found quickly before you suffocate us.

You are a LIAR and lack the capacity to recall recent events. You place the cart in front of the donkey and then complain that the donkey ain't pushing!

Miguna: Miguna defected from ODM - Raila after failing to get support for his extreme views within NARA. Raila did not follow him in his attacks on GEMA. To Raila's surprise (and not mine) GEMA quickly co-opted Miguna and used him to fight Raila. They just failed to help him get enough votes in Nairobi after bankrolling him. GEMA used government money to buy him a house in Runda.

Namwamba: Is this not the same Namwamba who Raila made not the other way round? Who went ahead and taped him, collected bribes as Chairman of PAC and eventually sabotaged the party from within?

How exactly did Raila become thankless? This is typical GEMA fallacy where they twist things or swap. The winner becomes the loser and vice versa. Here is a case of two persons who could never have gotten anywhere without Raila now being cast as if they made Raila and Raila is ungrateful!

when those areas did not turn out to vote? The low turnout propaganda has started in the face of facts.

This place is turning into choo.com too fast

He will soon find serving Raila is a vain, thankless job. He should talk to likes of Miguna and Namwamba.

There is no treason without a court of law stating so. There has been no civilian person in Kenya ever convicted of treason in a court of law.

Raila Odinga was never charged with treason. He was like Titus Adungosi charged with Misprision of Treason. The case against Raila collapsed for lack of evidence and instead of releasing him, Moi ordered his detention.

Indeed. Especially coz it was Jubilants shrieking calls for his arrests all over the place and being all jubilant, pun intended, at the prospect of the arrest. It's a game of how can any story be spun in a negative way towards NASA? If they arrest him, yahooo!! If they don't, that devil was tempting us to arrest him and we saw through it. Basically, anything, including baby deaths suffered BY that side or its supporters must be blamed on THEM at all cost.

Now, Ndii who was defending himself ably against any ideas about trying to arrest him for nonsensical charges about incitement was actually deeply wishing to be arrested the whole time. It's fascinating when you think about it. I mean, what would be the plan? Lets let people be tense for a few hours before they inevitably learn the truth? Perhaps to kidnap Dr. Ndii and disappear him to keep the rumour going? :D :D Sometimes the simplest explanation is the best one.

Yes.  There are ready talking points in defense of whatever piece of crap the jubilant comes up with.  Everything must be looked at in terms of pros and cons to the criminal duo.  If these crooks are not paying me, I would not find it in me to defend them like that.  Maybe that is why some people think some here are paid agents.  Me?  I think some just love that these guys "are making it hard on the other tribes", especially the Luo.

At some future point t, the tribal driver of our voting pattern will probably be lower than it is. It may even be knocked off its top perch by 'issues' which may be a good thing, but we're just not there yet.

I saw his interview. He is a very sane and sober mind. Larry was in over his head. Ndii was talking about the same issues I have been talking about here, though he phrased them differently. There's nothing mad about that. It's not mad to talk. And those sentiments are not imagined. I've heard them myself and they've been tweeted and fbooked in response to his tweet as well. One is not mad for simply saying openly what people say privately and saying hey, lets have a discussion.

What do you mean he is DONE? The notion that politics must be left to professional politicians is not supported by the constitution.  Freedom of speech and thought is not restricted to professions. Its this kind of talk that makes us believe that this country is being taken back to the dark days.  All I can tell you is that very many regimes that thought they had a juggernaut on power have been brought down.

Its this kind of talk that makes us believe that this country is being taken back to the dark days.  All I can tell you is that very many regimes that thought they had a juggernaut on power have been brought down.

NYS  pushed him to defensive; he made increasingly stupid/desperate videos. The most disgusting thing I have ever heard is claiming that Babu uses witchcraft.

Jubilee does not need him given his limited influence. He should stick to teaching.

Not much difference. Dr Doom use to write really negative article criticizing anything under the cover of an eminent economist. Now everyone knows he is just NASA mouth piece. It not any different from reading Mutua Makau - if anybody still does. So Nation will soon have to drop him. Objectivity Zero. Or you'll need two columns - Pro-Jubilee economist and Pro-Nasa Economist every saturday to get some balance.
I have a hunch you misunderstood Pundit's post. He's not saying Ndii is done because of the secession talk. He is saying Mutahi Ngunyi is done because Media Houses stopped taking him seriously.

You're becoming a raving lunatic like Dr Ndii. We are just offering unsolicited advice. Nobody is forcing anybody to do anything. You guys need to take some long holiday to heal. You may end up mad.
Why should he stick to teaching.  People teach and do a whole lot of things including business.  Imagine if you guys are who are not even close to power are ready to abuse your imaginary powers, what about the people with real power?

Why should he take a vacation?  Anger is part of freedom of expression. Freedom of expression does not end with an election. Its 24/7 365 days a year. Trust me Kenyans will find away around the electoral juggernaut that Jubilee is creating.  There are many woman in Kenya who have given birth to boys and girls who can think.  Where there is a will there is always a way. Folks are on the drawing board and Ndii is just one of them. The notion that Ouru and Ruto will silence the entire country with these computer generated results is wishful thinking.

I'm talking about Mutahi Ngunyi

I think he has lost a good number of fans due to NYS scam. Recall he even wired back some I think 11M when Ouko raised a query to this effect?

Nobody working that closely with Jubilee can be expected to be mildly neutral. And we are not wishing him away, nope, even the media long distanced from him. He's just an overeducated version of Duale.

Ndii is not much different btw. Being a rabid NAZI means it's difficult to separate his personal views and NASWA's even when he is well meaning and right. He can persist in his doom and gloom articles but he'll be taken less seriously.

I see an ongoing attempt to lump Ndii and Mutahi Ngunyi together.  It's going to take more than just having "radical" views.  Mutahi Ngunyi is a dyed in the wool tribalist not to mention a con artist.  It's difficult to find a more different person from David Ndii than this guy.

Indeed. Not to mention Dr. Ndii has not been involved in any scam, nor has he pretended about his political stances. He was responsible for NASA's manifesto. He is an open and honest person. Simply being in NASA is not in itself discrediting. Nor is simply being in Jubilee. When he pens his articles, it is clear the position from which he is approaching the issues. There're no pretenses.

When you take such a strong political side, it'll always be difficult to convince even when you are right. That's where Ndii meets Ngunyi. But against Ngunyi throw in graft.

So Ndii's problem is NASWA,while Ngunyi's is both Jubilee and graft. Their views are less respected as such.

Ndii's other advantage is his thing is economics which is a 247 subject. Ngunyi is into politics which really are cyclical
.

I had predicted that Ndii won't hang on NASWA for long after their thrashing because I sense some independent streak in him so much that NASWA cooked two manifestos. He gets out of the nest and his gloom prophecies will get a wider audience.

Ngunyi is irredeemable. He has no tribal base to sanitize him unlike wamajuu

In a democracy there is a center, far left, far right, left of center, right of center etc. Stop limiting people's freedoms to pick their own political positions while your interests are not that pure. What makes you think your political position is the only one good for kenya.

They can and they do take sides, but once they do they cease being bastions of truth....less reliable

Adams Oloo would probably be extremely harsh on Kibaki and Kenyatta legacy while Ngunyi would be very lenient. Comprende?

Back in 2008, Mutahi was this really respected regular guest on News shows. You couldn;t even tell which side he supported. Then something changed. Wonder what happened to him.

Some have suggested that the NYS scams did him in.   Not so.   Thievery has never hurt anyone in Kenya; in fact, the architects of the NYS scams seem to have simply moved on to "bigger and better"  things.

Mutahi's "problem" has its roots in the fact that after his MOAS-like calculations (and corresponding .ppt slides), he got to be seen (largely through the promotion of the likes of one Jeff Koinange) as some sort of heavy-duty intellectual.    And he bought into that view and encouraged it.

2013: Mr. Ngunyi
2014: Dr. Ngunyi
2015: Prof. Ngunyi

He looked all set to become Sir Ngunyi in 2016, but people started asking awkward questions: the guy dropped out of a Ph.D program at the University of Nairob, with the rank of "Tutorial Fellow"; where, when, and how did be become Dr. and Prof.?   He got one heck of a beating in the media ... including even the Daily Nonsense and The Stunted.   Nor did it help that when people looked into his consulting business, they found no more than a nice little scam based on his "funny" qualifications; for example, that he had listed a Ph.D. in funding applications well before 2014.    Man never recovered, and plenty of people felt they had been made to look foolish.

Since then he has gone farther downhill in his efforts to get any sort of attention and has devoted his time and efforts into all sorts of nasty tribal baiting. Finally, true colours and the real Ngunyi.

And Waiguru?  And all the others who have stolen and without even pretending to do any work for the money? I'm sure you'd say that, or else look foolish, given that Nipate.org has you in several places lavishing praise on "Professor Ngunyi".   And I'd say that Kenyans do care a great deal about such things, which is why people who don't have them will "award" themselves ... even RV Pundit was sure that a guy like that just had to be a "professor", and apparently before Ngunyi had promoted himself!

Please refer me to the specific law that outlaws calling for secession.

Moonki,
Tyranny of numbers was his peak. Before that he was a fast rising political analyst. He stayed at the top even as CORD/Opposition bitterly fought against his MOAS. There were rumors that he was on government's payroll. NYS saga confirmed this, and not only this but he was ridiculously overpaid so much that he 'audited' his statements and refunded excess payment as indicated in the audit query.

Kumbe he was just another looter. Looting never killed nobody, but certainly his opinions (which made him famous) lost their gravitas. From here, media houses largely gave him a wide berth. Not a single station invited his views on this election

I often read or hear things of this sort---so-and-so is a shoo-in etc.---but one thing I never hear about is exactly what the person would do.    There might be "war" in politics, but neither politics nor war of any kind are (or should regarded as) ends unto themselves.   I'd encourage Kenyans to look for more in politicians beyond "boy, can he fight!" ... consider what the person is actually capable of that would make a real difference in people's lives.  Yes, Ngunyi can have a "lucrative career in politics".   And the people who vote for him?   I'd rather hear about how their lives might be transformed by electing Ngunyi or a person of his sort.

How long until Kenyans start wailing that the new lot of politicians they just elected are, warriors and non-warriors, a greedy, selfish lot that will be thrown out at the next elections?   Late next year Kenyans will probably be sending "urgent"pleas to the "international community" for food.  Will they be able to eat the  "badges of honour" on their Ngunyis? A definition of "learning-proof". Do again and then repeat in five years. And don't forget to complain that nothing ever changes.

The point is that service in government should not be about "lucrative careers" for a few people and especially so when "lucrative career" means the opportunity to engage in unbridled theft.  That is not what people taxes for.

It's downright bizarre to have people jump up and down with excitement at the possibility that their heroes have, or might have, the opportunity to greatly rob the public.   But that's Kenya for you.

Absolutely. I think Ruto is most qualified to be PORK and I cannot wait for 2022. I think this country will grow at nearly 10% because Ruto has the kagamesque effectiveness- get it done spirit that is missing in our politics.
You don't (hate Luos), you are just a Ruto fanatic. But there're others that definitely do.
Lol. If you are right I hope so. But I hope you get that Kagame admiration out of your mind too. You can be effective without being a bully like Kagame. Kagame is very vindictive and is a big part of DRC instability.

And Kagame would have guys like Farouk Kibet beheaded.  He'd roast his nuts on a skewer.  As crazy as he is, you can't accuse him of being a fraudster when it comes public property.  I actually don't see any similarity between him and the hustler.

Pundito. That reminds me of Kibaki's Mugumo tree saying. The people whose lives the likes of Ndii want to change are NOT dreaming. Their hunger pangs are real; they are not dreaming  about the unemployment  at 50%; and their continued spiral into poverty is. When the time is right they will rebel. This will not continue forever.
