Politicians allied to UHURU's TNA exchange blows with RUTO's URP over ethnic appointments

Tuesday February 17, 2015 - Jubilee Alliance Coalition is on fire - MCAs from President Uhuru Kenyatta’s TNA and Deputy President William Ruto’s URP exchanged blows in Nakuru over ethnic appointments which is now synonymous with the ruling Jubilee Government.

Trouble started after URP MCAs (Kalenjins) learnt that one of their own, Cheruiyot, had been sacked from the NAWASSCO and replaced with James Ng’ang’a as the Managing Director of the SACCO.

Armed with machetes, the URP MCAs, led by Solai’s Paul Chebor, stormed NAWASSCO’s offices demanding the immediate reinstatement of Mr. Cheruiyot.

He was accompanied by MCAs Tuwei James, Ruth Cheptarus, Agnes Salim, Irene Chebichi and Hawal.

However, as they were seated waiting for the reinstatement of Cheruiyot, a group of TNA MCAs (Kikuyus), led by Rhonda’s John Macharia arrived with superior weapons and chased the URP MCAs from the offices and building in order to have Ng’ang’a sworn in as the MD.

And before Kalenjins were overpowered, there was an exchange of blows that saw Ruth Cheptarus given a dog’s beating by John Gichangi after she slapped him first.

It took ODM’s Denis Ambale to save the day and saw peace between the agitated URP and TNA politicians.

Isn't this old news; 2014 or something like that.
