An anti-theist is someone who is opposed to theism. Not just Islam.
One can indeed be atheist and not be opposed theism in principle. I know people like that.
That said, Craig Hill's act reeks of racist islamophobia rather than anti-theism. He does not know what he is.
The man arrested on suspicion of killing three young Muslims in North Carolina described himself as an “anti-theist” and criticised all religions online.
Police said 46-year-old Craig Stephen Hicks handed himself in to officers in Chapel Hill overnight in the wake of the deaths of 23-year-old Deah Shaddy Barakat, his wife Yusor Mohammad, 21, and her sister, Razan Mohammad Abu-Salha, 19.

All over Europe, xenophobia and extreme right politics is on the steady rise. They've been making notable political gains in parliaments while anti-immigrant sentiments have increased among the general populace. Some places are not safe for immigrants, especially Arab ones and to a lesser extent, African ones too.

Antitheist or not, I think the US really let perfect chance of uniting the Muslim community against isis and other terror organizations slip by. The media downplayed issue as just another parking dispute and failed to cover it in depth. I had to read it in British tabloid. These were decent educated young people pursing their dreams in the ‘land of the free’. There should have been more outrage out there for their murder. Muslims have been on the spotlight for all the wrong reasons of a few sicko’s. Most are decent folks who do not support the kind of barbarism going on, and yet when it came to tragedy in their community…the American media largely ignored them. And they wonder why other Muslims will not snitch on know terror suspects who live and hide amongst them…because they don’t feel respected. Obama tried to address the issue and the right wingers criticized him. What a missed opportunity
