Bungoma had a governor who bought wheelbarrows at Sh109,320(almost 400,000 quid today) each. They put him back in charge in the last elections. There comes a point you cannot blame the leaders if people are suckers for that kind of punishment.

Kenya is basically fucked, we lack the fundamentals to develop a country. Everyone is in there for themselves and for us who live in the west know this all too well. In Kenya, even folks who are doing well will always tell you sob stories to see what they can extract from you. There are people willing to ruin relationships for as little as 10K. It’s all about me, every relationship is transactional, it’s the most annoying human behavior ever. I have personally accepted our fate, elect the worst human POS, they enrich themselves and their relatives while people play Russian roulette with life.
