They Kositany-Moi fell out after the Caleb elder brother married to moi daughter died - they think Moi killed him.
JKIA is Moi and Kenyattas - if someone can kick them all - them - I will be happy.

Having said that this past January they were together in what you call KMT or something. Furthermore Kositany and Uhuru were like chanda na pete. It was Kositany who made Uhuru do about turn and join politics in 1997 . Moi used Kositany to convince Uhuru to enter politics. Wont be suprised if its Uhuru who has recommended him to be KAA boards chair.

Many people close to Ruto in eldoret loses election because they are perceived to be gate keepers and become unpopular.
For kositany - it worse because he is a dynasty - although his father was Jackson kibor or Biwott father - self made large scale farmers.
Definitely - Kenyattas and Mois - will try to bribe their way all over and retain their control of economy. Gideon Moi esp has gone underground.

Nowayaha - you need to understand Kalenjin society strongly believe that ALL MEN ARE EQUAL - that leadership must be PROVEN and demonstrated. Once you understand that - you'll understand kalenjin life philosophy.
Aechin kibananoi ak kipkunyuk – is kalenjin saying - rich and poor are equal. All leadership positions were elective - long before colonial period.
Again women rights were respected. A woman as long as he had been cut was almost equal to a man. If there was divorce due to infertility - the land would be split 50-50. The woman allowed to re-marry. The man allowed to marry.
Only the Talais - imports of Maasai Laibons - orkoiek - tried to implant their heriditary dynasties - but Kalenjin generally isolated them - and kept them out as almost a different tribe.
Moi was second idiot to try to impose dynasties on Kalenjin - eventually people told him to get lost. The Kalenjin community observes etiquette. The poor are said to be 'light' (Terter) not to hurt them. Those who are not very conversant with the typical Kalenjin culture will never understand.

Not Tribal. But Strategic like Moi. This what people are seeing. End of day there so much we can do - because one can obey the letter but not spirit of the constitution. Moi would strategically place kalenjin as ass minst or ps or deputies - and they would be the real power wielders - that is how he retained power for 24yrs.
I see almost same pattern emerging - Ruto will appoint figure heads - but real power will be held by people he trust - who mostly happen to be people who have trusted Ruto the longest - majority being kalenjin who nurtured and trusted him.
Kibaki and Uhuru didnt care - they would just appoint kikuyus anywhere they want.
For Ruto - it's important he reconstitute gov early - do his worse early - then do clean up later.
He need to finish appointment of gov as soon as possible - ambassadors pending - then country can now focus on other things.
